Out in the Open: Day 18 'Pocalypse Poetry Challenge for Steem-Pocalypse DAY 9 ROUND 2
Poem
The water contains a hidden danger if left untreated.
A concentration of bacteria and toxins that mark the end for the player.
Few could not find a trade for an item had to remove both threats or they assume just heat will be enough.
Sadly they were yanked out of the game as their bodies could not handle the poison.
Luckily the remaining survivors found others that provided purification tablets.
Many events shape these players to find the will to live.
True resolve and one mistake may make the difference to win the game.
Suddenly gun fire echos the quiet forest.
Bullets in their directions forces their them beyond the forest to a field.
An action must be taken to either push their feet beyond the limit back into the woods or crouch.
Maybe swift retaliation by shooting lead to the enemy or to strike with ferocity head on.
A long shot is the note might be enough to seize the day or is it a red herring.
The players must decide or be a sitting duck.
You are really speaking to a lot of conflict. Is it STEEM pocalypse game conflict, life conflict, the game of Life conflict? The reader is left to wonder. I see elements of Life is a simulation type stories made into poetry here, reminiscent of tales like Ready Player One and The Game.
Yeah I was going in that direction from the moment I died and maybe it evolved into something like those simulation themes. Thanks for the reply.
