STEEM-POCALYPSE SURVIVAL GAME CONTEST - SEASON 6 DAY 12 ROUND 2 - 850 SBD PRIZE POOL SO FAR

To eat some wild plants or not... that is the question.
DAY 12 ROUND 1 RESULTS
OPTION 1 – Try to grab a large handful of this plant and eat it raw as you continue on.
No one chose this option, so the end result will remain a mystery.

OPTION 3 – Try to grab a large handful of this plant and eat it raw as you continue on.
This plant is Sassafras, and, except for the seeds, it is edible. I made a post about it last year in my THE EDIBLE OUTDOORS series. With the three different shaped leaves on one tree, it can be easy to distinguish from other plants. Also, since the roots are what they originally made root beer from, the smell of those is a dead giveaway.
Players who chose Option 3 have successfully eaten and will need to eat again prior to the end of Day 14 in order to avoid starvation.
OPTION 4 – Try to use the FIELD GUIDE to determine what to eat, if anything. (For players/teams with a Field Guide.)
Players who used the Field Guide enjoyed some Milk Thistle (Option 2) and Sassafras (Option 3) and munched as they went.
Players who chose Option 4 have successfully eaten and will need to eat again prior to the end of Day 14 in order to avoid starvation.
OPTION 5 - Move on without trying to eat any of these plants.
No players chose this option.
DAY 12 ROUND 2 SCENARIO
Pressing on in the heat of the day, the players are sweating and getting exhausted. As they continue to make their way through the thick woods, they notice something up ahead.
There, in front of them, is a large entrance to a cave. It looks deep and cool.
Not knowing exactly what is in there, the players get curious. Could there be useful things stashed inside the cave? Is it just a cool place to rest for a bit? Is it an abandoned mine full of precious metals? Is it a hideout for a gang of murderous survivors? Will it collapse the moment that they enter?
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 – Try to blow up the cave entrance with dynamite. (For players with dynamite and a firestarter.)
OPTION 2 – Try to fire a warning shot into the cave and then explore it. (For players with a loaded gun.)
OPTION 3 – Try to move on without exploring the cave.
OPTION 4 – Try to explore the cave with a flashlight (For players with a flashlight.)
OPTION 5 - Try to explore the cave with a torch (For players with a firestarter.)
OPTION 6 - Try to explore the cave in the dark by letting your eyes adjust.
OPTION 7 - Try to have one player explore the cave (in a manner listed under options 4-6) while the other team member stands guard. (For teamplay.)
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY
All players who have signed up and want to play must reply to this post with 24 hours in order to avoid elimination and continue gameplay. All players must reply to my option comment below, not to this post. I will reply to my own posts with the options each in their own comments, and the players must reply to whichever comment has the option that they wish to choose.
IMPORTANT: The Backup Food Supplies are in one ration portions, which can feed one player and keep them alive for two days. Also, if for some reason you decide to change your choice prior to the 24 hour response time cutofff, please contact @novaatebatman to make sure you are registered under the correct option.
Also, please remember to include your inventory in your reply. Example:
I have gas, a magnesium firestarter, a half stick of dynamite, a PLANT FIELD GUIDE and a pistol with 8 rounds of ammunition. I must eat by the end of Day 12. I choose Option 3 this round.
As always, please remember that all outcomes are predetermined. In an elimination survival game, most of your are going to die eventually. Nothing personal.
PRIZE POOL
The current prize pool is 850 SBD. The total prize pool amount will grow each round until the game is over.

I have a pistol with 8 rounds of ammunition, water purification tablets, Plant Field Guide and a flashlight. I chose option 3: Try to move on without exploring the cave.
Team Weaponless will go for Option 3 - Try to move on without exploring the cave.
Precious metals won't help is survive much better and doubt a cave with have any good supplies. So would rather just move on.

I have a knife, a flashlight and rifle with 4 rounds of ammunition. I have to eat prior to the end of Day 14 in order to avoid starvation. I choose Option 3 this round.
In some earlier round I traded my flashlight for water purification tablets. And I don’t have a firestarter. So I’m choosing Option 3 in this round.
I still have half a dynamite stick and the FIELD FOOD GUIDE left in my inventory. I need to eat by the end of Day 14 to avoid starvation.
TEAM RANDOM ( @bmwaso and @modnar ) chooses OPTION 3 – Try to move on without exploring the cave.

I have a pistol w/8 rounds, a knife, water purification tablets, a plant field guide, and a note. I just ate, so I do not need to eat again until day 14. I will go with option 3 to move on without exploring the cave.
