Five teams are still fighting to survive!
Yesterday our teams wound up on a winding road traveling south. Suddenly, up ahead it appeared that there were some people. Having options, and a gun, the teams cautiously chose how to proceed...
DAY 5 ROUND 2 RESULTS
OPTION 1 - HIDE
The majority of the teams chose to hide. In these unpredictable and dangerous times, it is very hard to trust strangers. Too many people have become "kill or be killed" and are now acting like ruthless savages living by the rule "might makes right." The teams crawled deep into the underbrush and waited quietly while the people passed. They were deep enough in the forest to just barely make out the bodies passing by on the road, and they could not overhear any conversation.
The teams waited an additional half hour just to make sure that the coast is clear before slowly creeping back out towards the road. Thankfully, their hiding kept them safe. Here are the teams who chose to hide.

OPTION 2 - Walk on ahead and try to greet the people.
On team was actually brave enough (or foolish enough) to walk on ahead and greet the people. The people were actually looking for some other friends of theirs who should be somewhere in the area. They were not looking to team up, but were already ready to evaluate supplies and make a potential trade.
As the team shared about their resources, the people offered to trade additional bullets for some of the cash that the team had. $500 for 20 extra rounds may seem a little steep, but the team figured that bullets may come in even more handy that the money and made the trade, before parting ways. This team now has 24 rounds of ammunition total.

DAY 6 Round 1
As the teams continue moving, they sense that travelling the road may no longer be a wise option. Some sort of noise that sounds like machinery is coming from up ahead. With the power outage, the teams conclude that it must be some sort of vehicle(s). Whatever it is, it means that more people are up ahead...
The teams cut back through the woods, attempting to make a large circle around the area. The underbrush is not quite as thick, and the forest floor gives way to sandy patches in between the tall trees. As the teams are quickly walking through these woods, they begin to sink.
The teams are up to their necks in quick sand and are running out of time. They must act quickly if they want to survive.
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 - Try to "swim" out of it as fast as possible by rapidly moving your hands and feet.
OPTION 2 - Try to "lie down" in the quick sand, roll onto your back and slowly "swim" to the edge.
OPTION 3 - Try to dive under the quick sand to get to the bottom and then move towards the edge.
OPTION 4 - Try to use your gun to shoot your team mate and then yourself in an attempt to avoid a slow, terrifying death.
