STEEM-POCALYPSE SEASON 2 RECAP - 557 STEEM in REWARDS - Plus Some Changes for Season 3
The STEEM-Pocalypse Survival Game Contest has been a huge hit!
For me, it is a lot of work, but well worth it and I thank everyone for their support and encouragement. It looks like the players have been having a great time playing, and the interaction and engagement has been remarkable.
Last season, I wound up paying out a grand total of 557 STEEM, even thought the official "Prize Pool" was only 400 STEEM. The 400 STEEM went to the winning team, and all the teams got a payout of 1 STEEM for each day that they survived.
HERE ARE THE PAYOUTS FROM LAST SEASON
Last season, everyone who participated received a prize, even if they died on day one. They will also get this incredible ribbon that they can wear (digitally) and show off to their friends.
DAY ONE DEATHS
Each of the following users perished on Day 1 last season. Fortunately for them, they still got 1 STEEM for playing!

CHANGES FOR SEASON 3
I know that many of you have been waiting for your chance to get involved and have a chance to win some serious STEEM. Don't worry, I'll be doing the registration sign-up post for Season 3 in the next day or two! Until then, I just wanted to point out a few changes in things to come.
PRIZE POOL
Until now, the entire Prize Pool has been awarded to the winning team and any additional "participant" STEEM to be awarded has been separate. The Prize Pool will reflect the entire prize pool for all payouts from here on out.
PARTICIPANT REWARDS
Until now, all participants have been rewarded for their participation one way or another. Moving forward, I will only be rewarding the top teams in the final rounds. All participants that perish earlier will still get a Participant Ribbon, but they will not be paid out in STEEM.
KILL ROUNDS
On my end, this contest is a lot of work. I certainly don't mind working hard, but I do not want to restrict the number of teams that enter. I desire to make it open to all. Therefore, after the signup registration is finished, there will be a few "kill rounds" early on in the gameplay where teams will be rapidly eliminated. If your team can make it past these rounds, then you'll be on your way to the big STEEM!

It's a bit of work for sure, but I do get compensated well. Also, it's nice to hand out over $500 USD in prizes!
