Steem Music : Musicians On The Blockchain's Community Workshop
Where do I even begin? Today's workshop was just amazing just by the line up itself. We had the privilege to listen to industry leaders from their respective fields, coming together to share with us their valuable knowledge, jam-packed in one afternoon!
We kickstarted the event with @edward-ong from #steem-music serenading us with his finger-picking guitar skills. He never fails to get the crowd going, this time with his own version of "Despacito".
After that we went straight into the talks, starting off with @bitrocker2020 from #teammalaysia sharing what Steemit was all about. There was so much ground to cover but he has definitely made it concise yet still very informative.
Of course, we were paying full attention! 😜
Next up, we had @djlethalskillz, the official ambassador of #musicoin come share with us how we musicians can do away with the middleman and really utilize this blockchain technology made available to us, to make some money and perhaps even make a decent living.
I then proceeded to share about what #steem-music was all about, how a community of musicians can support each other and make this journey on Steemit more enjoyable.
I have no idea what @vandigital was talking about when I captured this photo, but I just had to post this up! 😁 He shared about #hiphoptheblockchain and how this unlikely combination of hip-hop culture with blockchain technology can change lives!
Of course like any other event, it wouldn't be complete without a group photo!
And we just couldn't help it with the awesome white backdrop, had to take a few more ourselves. Blame it on the selfie/wefie culture. 🙃
Here's also a shoutout to @vandigital's project launch tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur, the city itself! It's definitely a good time to be alive as a musician with so many events and opportunities presenting itself everywhere. Definitely looking forword to the next collaboration with these amazing people!

@calebleejl I think the blockchain has the power to bring back talented musicians instead of just people who have "connections". With the blockchain musicians will become big by truly being loved by the people not the advertisers and media!
couldn't agree more! it gives musicians a lot more options. and of course, there's a lot more to do as well, but it's within the control of us musicians. we're just scratching the surface of this blockchain technology. can't even imagine how life would be in 10 or even 5 year's time!

hey man. thanks for dropping by. indeed it was a great workshop where like-minded people gathered together. a lot of us were pretty much strangers initially but everybody was very warm and friendly :)
agree that having a good group around yourself help you go far. always remember the saying that if you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together!
