NANO is definitely one of the more popular projects outside the top 20. I know it's fast and apparently free, do you know how it's free? Also is there anything else which makes it special? XLM is also fast and basically free plus it has a superstar developer, IBM backing and a good headstart. Why would I prefer NANO over XLM?
Well NANO is more like Bitcoin, a new currency used instead of FIAT, where XLM is a mean to transfer funds more efficiently not unlike Ripple. So their goals is quite different...
