RE: Why not mining with four posts a day?

in #steeemit9 years ago

Hi @surfermarly. Thank you for reading and commenting. You are right. There are advantages for sure. But I've wrote from the sight of a curator who is searching for new blogger–gems and this multipost possibility is not very helpful when the best content is hidden in one of 10 postings. Our reading capacity is very limited.

What is a curator from your point of view? On steemit we can be all both creators and curators :)

Curators are mentioned in the White Paper as a central instance of keeping up the high quality of the blog. All Steemians should be curators but unfortunally most of them doesn't read what they vote. Curators read and vote. Today mostly bots are voting and just approx 5% of the people are reading. Bots have not been considered in the setup of the Steem. They are a kind of a cheat. Sure we are both. Curators and Creators.

If you create engaging content, people will read it. Believe me :)
Bots help to bring content up on trending pages and provide them with more attention. Even though I curate manually, I am not completely against bots. Carefully used they can be a smart additional tool. I don´t see any cheating here. I´d recommend you to read that post to get a different view on bots :) https://steemit.com/curation/@merej99/steemvoter-and-the-organic-curator

Thank you for the link @surfermarly. It is very interesting to read @merej99 but I don't use bots. Your faith in people is really pleasant and this may concerning your articles and sometimes mine too. I have very often a higher readers rate as well. But five percent is the average and this is poor in a community of curators. But my view on bots is changing anyway. Without them we wouldn't produce as much STEEM the market is asking for. I have to admit there are some reasonable situations to use them.
