Buying Bitcoin is very hard to Impossible depending on where you live
I currently live in the USA and buying bitcoin is very easy to do. Sign up to places like Coinbase or Itbit and I can get my bitcoin relatively easily.
I was recently recommending buying bitcoin to some of my friends in Asia (Nepal, India, Bangladesh) and its not that easy for them. They don't have any proper established service available to them. This is some thing the bitcoin and alt coin community should focus on if this is to truly be a global exchange.
More importantly I was trying to help few friends get in this before its too late and its been a hurdle. There are the question i get asked every time I try to get people to consider bitcoin.
- Bitcoin is for black market
- Bitcoin is not real
- I don't understand how bitcoin works
- I can't buy it here
It leads to me being very frustrated when I have to explain over and over but I do that each time with every single one. Yes bitcoin has a bad rep because of the dark web and again with the recent virus going around doesn't help but i know that is a small part of the puzzle.
It has a potential to change the world not figuratively but literally. This being said, we need to look at how everyone in the world can take a bite at this pie. The more people we can get onboard, Bitcoin and alt coins are going to get stronger and stronger and eventually we can get rid of the central banks and the banking system. I know we have a ways to go but things are shaping up.
We need steam like service where everyone in the world can use. Eliminating the banking system when buying Crypto is the only solution I can see but it doesn't exist yet. (some might say localbitcoins is a option but I haven't used it successfully yet)

I have been (dropping seeds)
it has been my experience that when someones doesn't want to listen, they won't allow any information contradiction their beliefs, and the more hostile or the more it makes them uncomfortable. They will actually close their minds.
Instead I will drop boulder hints, and make random comments that are easily entered into the conversation. It doesn't trigger a response, and enough seeds laid down and I start getting questions.
Yes I agree. You are right, they become hostile and close their minds. (me dropping a seed to my friends) just posted the value of bitcoin on Facebook. It turned a few heads.
I mean people don't even bother to research. Im just trying to share my experience. :)
Research requires effort, and thought. Things that are being discouraged now.
But more and more are being woken up. You pique someones curiosity enough and to satisfy that itch they will have to do something.
