I think long term holders do care very much about the price. It's at dangerously low levels. If the money supply wasn't expanding so rapidly, the market cap would be much smaller and the reward pool would be dismal. I personally think that we aren't far from stress testing the steem dollar peg with very little demand for extremely cheap steem... But I do think it can handle it.
