I'm not sure I will watch it. I heard a small portion of it. I heard Trump says he wants to fight socialism while he has increased socialism (government spending) and promoted more socialism during his speech (paid time off)?

So you are all about paying billions of dollars to take care of other countries citizens while our own citizens live in tents and cardboard boxes on the street? You want to declare a national emergency you have to prove you've done everything within your power to get others to come to a consensus. It will hold up much better in any potential court challenge. Sometimes they say you have to spend money to save money, that's pretty much what a border fence will do in the long run. Once you get the flow under control you can start getting rid of the criminal element that came in, work on those violating their visa's and having more manpower to deal with the backlog of those waiting in detention centers for hearings and putting more money toward immigration judges instead of border patrol. It took decades to get us into this mess it will take decades to dig us out. Same with the military, spending billions babysitting other countries, it's time to step back a bit and reassess our need to even be involved. We can't save the whole world from themselves.
I would cut off foreign aid first. I was talking about the paid family leave and not the border wall. I agree the border wall is probably a good investment.
We get back more than what we give those countries in aid. The aid don't help the countries because they are corrupt, the only part of the mandate in the contracts is that they buy our products so that's why they keep giving them money. I should do a blog on it.
I think you could make the case foreign aid has helped cost us trillions of dollars especially if you count the aid we gave to people like Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Ladin. I'd rather not give away free money and/or goods and/or services especially when our nation is broke.
