What is Livepeer?

• Livepeer is creating a scalable Platform as a Service for developers who want to add live or on-demand video to their project. We aim to increase reliability of video workflows while reducing the costs to scale them. To achieve this we are building p2p infrastructure that interacts through a marketplace secured by the Ethereum blockchain. To fit the requirements of today's DApp developers we are building Livepeer with these core attributes in mind:

Livepeer Merits

• high Scaleable : this means that Livepeer’s peer-to-peer network gives room to scale to any file size without a single point of failure in it. It also, will bring out the best quality of encoding and performance of delivery. The quality will be unchangeable.

• Low Cost

The Livepeer's peer network target to minimize the cost of the transcoding by an order of magnitude over cloud providers, by using crypto-economic incentive mechanisms..

• Decentralized

There is this one thing that distinguish Liverpeer from others, there is no single company or individual can control the network from a private place or location. All participants have the ability to shape Livepeer.

• Liverpeer : Live Video Infrastructure.

Thats means Liverpeer it is a form of technology that allows you to send live videos over the internet r let you have the freedom to build your own video application or website .

This means that it is an open source.
