Today's pick is a called SPOT ANGELS
SPOT ANGELS is a cool app that shows you on a map where and for how long you can park in a city.
HOW IT WORKS:
Download the free app, and check the map. That is it.
Spot angels did a mapping of all the major cities in the USA to get all the relevant information possible about street parking.
They can tell IF you can park, for HOW LONG, and the PRICE it will cost you.
Ever been ticketed because you did not see this street cleaning sign ? Ever had to move you car in a hurry because you realized that you could not park more than 2 hours. Spot Angels will let you know all the street parking information you need BEFORE you park.
When you launch the app, you see a map: just browse and see the parking regulations. Done.
If you want, you can click on PARK and you will receive notifications, like for instance if you are going get a ticket because you parked too long and now it is street cleaning.
The app can even analyze your movements to guess if you are parked, automatically.
MY EXPERIENCE:
I use it all the time when I go to San Francisco for private reasons. Parking garage is sometimes too expensive, and valet (my favorite) may not be possible if you plan to stay past midnight.
Launching the app takes 3 sec, and then you just have too explore the streets around in order to decide in which zone you may park.
Already parked? Use the app to make sure there is no street cleaning or odd regulations you may have missed.
Each time I plan to park in the street, I launch the app to make sure to know IF, WHERE, and HOW LONG I should park.
BOTTOM LINE:
Tickets are like taxes: Nobody likes to pay then.
Spot Angels is a great solution to never get Parking or street cleaning tickets again.
Best of all, it’s 100% FREE !
Conclusion: Free and useful stuff is quite rare today.
I recommend having this app on your phone, it is a life saver.
