This is the first time I am joining. I am no apoetry writer but there are times I get into the mood and when I saw this contest, I got in the mood. Hope it is ok for me to join Thanks. So I am trying my luck - the theme is "HAPPY ENDINGS"

DREAMING

I lay my head on the pillows,
To sleep on the grassy meadows.
Soft, soft like the clouds,
Away from the crowds.
I feel like I’m dreaming,
Of everything that’s worth believing.

No pain or sorrow,
But a brighter tomorrow.
Don’t wake me up,
Because I’m at the top.
So why should we awake.
To things that make us ache.

Dreams are free,
To be whoever we want to be.
Let the dreams continue,
Like with everything you do.
Awake I am no one,
In my dreams I am the “One”

A queen of sorts,
In a castle with soldiers at the fort.
A dancer full of grace,
A singer born to amaze.
So in my dreams I will stay,
And live my life the best in every way!
