It is 6:21PM in Nigeria on the 25th of December 2017 and it is @ejemai here wishing you the best of the season.
STACH started out in August 2017 and the idea is to bring the decentralized loving feeling offline.
We started out by first talking about the things we held dear to us, love for community and so far we have advanced to this stage where we have 2 Hubs, and 3 others proposed around Nigeria.
HOW DID WE MAKE IT THIS FAR?
The community is the reason why we made it this far.
From the moment we announced our plans to decentralize the offline, the community has been behind us all the way and they have helped us looked at the needs and filled it with their help.
We went beyond boundaries to make sure the impossible just worked for us as we were able to surmount them as they appeared. The times were hard, but we sailed through.
The development of the first Steem Accelerator Hub was fun as we had to start from scratch and worked with nothing but our hearts looking to put down a structure that will serve the purpose of the hub.
We worked at our pace and was able to officially open the Hub on the 30th of September 2017, read STACH official opening. Port Harcourt, Nigeria. |Official Opening of the first 'Steemit Hotspot'. 1. And since then, we have been doing the business of decentralizing the offline.
The win so far has been in our various offline campaign activities at the hub and through campaigns. We have also started developing Accelerator Hubs around Nigeria and the first of this chosen locations are Ibadan and Uyo. We have made payment for Uyo and work has started while Ibadan will be starting soon.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE US DO IN 2018?
Now, I am asking this question because whatever it is we are doing, we do for the community and it will work well when the community actually get what they want.
What would you like to see STACH do more in 2018?
Presently, we run 2 contest, The STACH Short Story Contest and the STACH Anonymous Writing Contest.
- We have daily activities from the hub as Steemians come in on daily basis to use the Hub's facilities.
- We also started a campaign, #Project20millionNaija which has seen us travelling around the nation to join these community leaders to develop new communities.
- We are helping Steemians think outside the box with our STACH leadership Mentoring program where we have been able to help a dozen leaders find their selves and the reason why they should be on Steemit.
- We are also presently running the Air-Clinic project which we started in partnership with @Nairadaddy a medical doctor.
- We are also starting a sports project on Steemit called Steemsoccer1 and this is in collaboration with @Theheralds.
- This is is still hot as it is still incubated, we are bringing in a merchant that will accept SBD and Steem on their site along side Bitcoin.

STACH is a physical Accelerator Hub dedicated to decentralizing the offline by breaking the barriers to accessing the internet like light, internet and conducive working space.

Marry xmas since accessing the internet is one of the major problem in Nigeria pls. if @stach can spread to major cities in the county it will cause mass adoption of steemit in Nigeria thanks in regards
Stach should continue being Stach i.e blazing the trail, launching new projects and breaking records back to back like it did throughout 2017.
Do you have a hub in Uyo (pardon my ignorance if you do).
Accessing fast and affordable internet here is tough especially for the tech minded here. You have to have a large pocket to get your internet consuming project going.
