The Danger In Making Excuses

Anything that you give excuses for, you'll always struggle to accomplish.

Excuses are like stumbling blocks, the more you hold unto them, the more they'll limit your progress. Anything you give excuses for never gets done because excuses encourage inactions by giving you very valid reasons why you shouldn't do what you should have done.

Excuses kills dreams, blurs vision, exaggerate challenges, ignores opportunities, promotes inaction, dampens exitement, delays accomplishment, harbours procrastination, kills motivation, disconnects from reality and destroys hope. The moment any man starts holding unto excuses, that's the very moment that his/her life starts retrogressing.

Excuses always seem very logical to the excuse giver. It sometimes makes them feel sharp and smart. But the reality in giving excuses is that it holds you back. It keeps you at same level for years without you realizing that your life is on a standstill.

One very sad thing about excuses is that, it makes you start holding everyone around you responsible for your errors and misfortune, except yourself. Excuse givers are very good blamers. They know everyone that contributed to their misfortune and they are very quick to narrate to anyone that cares to listen about how they were held back from achieving their dreams by people that in reality don't even know that the excuse giver is still existing.

Everyone around an excuse giver most times sees what the excuse giver is doing wrongly that is making his/her life miserable except the excuse giver. The moment anyone tries to show them where they have erred and tries to guide them on what to do to put their life back on track, they would quickly shut such person up with invectives and put the person in their enemy's list.

Their unwillingness to welcome and accept correction make it difficult for them to be helped. Every wise person that hears the excuse giver's blame, sees where the excuse giver is faulting, but they never bother to call the excuse giver attention to it because they know that the reaction will be negative.

Excuses are destructive. The more you hold to it, the deeper you take yourself down such destructive path. And the only destination that such path can lead to is the destination of regret, self hate, depression and misery. Don't ever go this path because it can get very addictive that you can hardly become aware that you're already on such path.

No one can achieve anything meaningful in life by holding unto excuses. Take responsibility for your life and strive to make things work out for you. Regardless of what anyone might have done to you, your life and what you will become is you responsibility. Don't allow anyone or yourself stop you from giving yourself the type of life that you deserve.

Strive hard to become all that you can be in life because if your life is sweet, you're the one that will enjoy the sweenesd and if it's bitter, you're also the one that will suffer the bitterness. Any path you choose to take in life, you're the one that will drive through it. Make the right choice and work hard to give yourself the best because it's only you that can give yourself that.
