Life is not a bed of roses they say. It might actually be a bed of petals from other nice flowers but for the African mother, it's actually a bed of thorns and spikes. The high temperature from the sun in Africa is the least of her troubles.. It was already bad when she was a single lady. Now she has to raise a child in the same horrible conditions she was raised in.. Tears! O tears!.... They roll down her cheeks whenever these thoughts go through her mind.

Sometimes people from outside the boundaries of africa see africa as a place where the calmness of nature gives you that peace but its much more than that when you actually live here in Africa. Underneath that beautiful look of nature are stones that would probably kill you.

She has to earn a living from impossible ways

Getting paid in africa is very difficult and when you have a child to feed, u have to work extra hard.. The white collar jobs are very few. The African mother has to get her hands really dirty to feed... Some of these women spend all day under the high temperature of the sun breaking stones just to get paid.. Small scale agriculture is the order of the day because she cant afford to buy every single thing

The economy is always getting from bad to worse as the flow of money is within a very short cirle of the very rich ones. The African mother never wants to let this stops her child from eating. She could stay hungry but the child always has to it. It's always the child first.

How does her child survive the African streets?

Africa is a cruel place to watch your child grow in. Every where she turns to, she sees things that are no good for her child. From the little boys on the streets that have no choice but to become cultists, they've made violence an integral part of there lives to the pretty black girls that are now roaming the streets, waiting to be picked up.

Evil creeps all through the streets of Africa. Kids get kidnapped everyday for rituals, keeping your child safe takes so much. But he African mother is a fighter

She makes sure her baby sees a future beyond what she sees around.

Every mother's dream, weather black or white is to see her child live a life in better conditions than she did. This is no exception for the african mother... She wants her child to be better than she ever was. Even if it means that she has to make stepping stones with her bones, she does it. The African mother has a beautiful heart.

She wants that life that exists outside Africa for her baby and she knows that the first stop is being learned, so she works night and day to send her baby to school
