RE: FPL Gw 4.1| Mane outscores Salah again

in #sprtshub6 years ago

The average score in GW 4 continues to stay low again despite a cracking start to the season. 7 matches were played on Saturday that resulted in just 17 goals and 2 clean sheets which keep average score at 33. Most of the managers captain pick already played as Aguero was captained by 33.3% managers while Salah was captained by 24.0% managers. 11.8% managers entrusted Kane with the armband and will hope to get something out of resilient Watford.

## Leicester City 1 - 2 Liverpool
>Goals: Rachid Ghezzal / Mane, Firmino
Assists: James Maddison / Robertson Milner

In the day when Liverpool conceded the first goal of the season after Alissons blunder also saw Salahs first blank of the season. He was substituted in the 70th minute for Shaqiri that kept managers who captained him frustrated. Mane outscored Salah again with the 4th goal of the season which would increase his appeal ahead of Salah who is 3.1 million more expensive. But it must be noticed that Salah had been more unlucky despite bettering Mane in the number of shots and efforts. Salah missed some golden chances against Leicester. The conversion accuracy for Salah is 36% while it is 60% for Mane.

The third of Liverpool trio Firmino got his first goal of the season assisted by Milner who looks good budget option if you already dont have 3 Liverpool players. At 5.6 million, Milner already collected a goal and 2 assists and he is in spot-kick duty. Although Liverpool missed the clean sheet, Robertson collected his second assist for Manes goal. On Alissons fault, Rachid Ghezzal got the goal for the Leicester City.

## Brighton 2 - 2 Fulham
> Goals: Murray x2 / Schurrle, Mitrovic
Assists: Knockaert / Seri

Having collected 3 points each from the previous fixture, this match was not enough to separate them as they both now have 4 points and sit in 12 and 13th in the table. For Brighton, Murray scored twice in Brightons comeback after going 2-0 down in an hour mark. In the first half, Gross missed the penalty for the Brighton but he was off the pitch for the second penalty which Murray scored in 84th minute of the match after handball by Mitrovic. Gross still should be the number one penalty taker for Brighton but he is not getting enough minutes. He was substituted in the 59th minute in previous two fixture and just managed 10 minutes against Liverpool. Murray also scored the first goal assisted by Knockaert. Dunk makes his return and Balogun is back to the bench, but they still have Spurs and City to play before they get a good round of fixtures.

For Fulham, Schurrle got his second goal of the season and he continues his good form. He is among the top midfielders for efforts to goals only behind Salah, and he can be a good budget pick. Mitrovic got the fourth goal of the season, he is at second highest scoring forward behind Aguero in terms of FPL points. Fulham plays Manchester City. Once again, Sessegnon was dropped to the bench in an expense of Schurrle. The back line of Fulham looks very poor, second in the league in terms of a number of goals conceded.

## Chelsea 2 - 0 Bournemouth
>Goals: Pedro, Hazard
Assists: Giroud, Alonso

To summarize the match, Pedro is scoring, Alonso is assisting while Hazard is managing at least a return in every match. Pedro got his third goal of the season coming from the bench for Willian which should increase his chance to start against Cardiff next game week. Giroud got the assist for Pedros goal. But he seems to be rotating with Willian for the entire season. Hazard got his fourth return of the season but for the managers owning him, he was not involved in the majority of the set pieces.

Alonso is unstoppable as getting returns from both sides of the pitch. He is omnipresent in penalty boxes helping Chelseas frontline and getting some shots too. He was unlucky to to score against Bournemouth as he hit the woodwork. They will play Cardiff next and we should expect another big haul from him.

## Crystal Palace 0 - 2 Southampton
>Goals: Ings, Højbjerg
Assists: Cédric Soares, Matty Targett

Crystal Palace was brilliant so far this season but missed their talisman Zaha as they lost at home to Southampton. One of the popular FPL picks, Zaha was not in starting line up after the groin injury. The absence of Tomkins hurt them defensively. The other popular pick Wan-Bissaka after coming from suspension ended in 0 points after the yellow card.

Danny Ings continues his fine form with his second goal of the season as he started ahead of the Shane Long in Sotons attack. Long was replaced by Austin in an hour mark and got a chance to double the score as soon as he stepped in but missed from the spot kick. Højbjerg got the late goal for Soton assisted by Target.

## Everton 1 - 1 Huddersfield Town
>Goals: Calvert-Lewin / Billing
Assists: Digne | Löwe

After Richarlisons suspension, the most transferred-in player was Walcott after back to back brilliant performance but he was forced out of injury as Everton drew with Huddersfield. Everton clearly missed Richarlison and his creativity as they looked very dull against Huddersfield at home. Everton just managed one proper shot on target without him. Calvert-Lewin who replaced Richarlison in the left flank got the only goal of the match and an equalizer assisted by Digne. For Huddersfield, Billing gave the lead assisted by Lowe.

## West Ham 0 - 1 Wolverhampton
>Goal: Traore
Assist: Bonatini

The misery for Westham continues as they lost to newly promoted side Wolves. Arnautovic returned to the side after injury but couldnt make any positive impact. Hammers look poor defensively as well as offensively. For Wolves. Substitute Traore got the winning goal at 90th minute assisted by another substitute Bonatini. The 4.0 million defender, Bennett continued to start for the Wolves and got the first clean sheet of the season.

It had been a long article and will feature the remaining game in the next one.

How is your team doing in terms of Fantasy?
Who did you get as a replacement to Richarlison?

Thank you for recognizing my post, and providing with a wonderful opportunity. I joined the discord channel, and looking forward to it.

Mane no doubt is a good player, he gives Liverpool FC a different dimension when ever he is on the pitch.but again I think sallah got what only Lionel Messi can boast of, which is taking and getting the right decision in any difficult situation.

Salah indeed has a better stat, Mane had been luckier. But Salah will soon get better of it

Are you guys doing a fantasy football league on steemit? That would be awesome, if not it is an awesome idea. Back to the post, sorry I got sidetracked ideas tend to do that to me.
I don't know if Salah is just getting unlucky, or if he is trying to force the shots too hard. He is taking a lot more shots, and not at perfect timing or angles.
Crystal Palace Southamp game was a wreck as well. I could not believe he missed the PK off the handball. It was like he didn't even try to shoot it, almost lazy. I do believe that handball should have been a card, I think it was actually going in, it would have been a crap goal but it still counts...
Great post mate. and congrats on the curie vote, those are awesome.
