RE: Hazelnut trees that blooms - an early spring sign

in #spring7 years ago

Hazelnuts do not grow in our area, we have a widespread walnut, but the inflorescences are very similar. In Moldova, it is also one of the signs of the onset of spring. I can safely say that the whole of Moldova is planted with walnut trees. But. you know, as happened in childhood, you have a walnut, but, you want hazelnuts, or almond))) It is difficult to please the child. I am very pleased, Dear @Siggjo, that spring has come to your edges! Excellent macro shots, I really love to watch the small details that are hidden behind the outer shell, or, they are too small, and we just pass by them.

Hazelwood with hazelnuts are the ones that are common in Norway @Barski
I know that walnuts have been planted in some parks and gardens. They become large and beautiful trees, and I have seen both flowering and green nuts forming. Nevertheless, I have not found walnuts that have grown ripe in Western Norway.
The walnuts need long and hot summer, so maybe they mature in the best parts of our country in hot summers.
Otherwise, I like both walnuts, hazelnuts and walnuts. They are tasty, healthy and rich in energy.
