Lincoln Financial Field, is the venue for tonight's division championship matchup between the hosting Philadelphia Eagles(13-3)and the visiting Atlanta Falcons(10-6)
Eagles
Unfortunately the Eagles will be without the talents of most valuable player candidate, starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, who underwent surgery for knee ligament damage back in December. Since losing Wentz, the Eagles have managed to maintain a pretty decent record under the leadership of backup quarterback Nick Foles.Foles has went 2-1 in three starts including a win over the Oakland Raiders. The Eagles have won three of their last five games, but last time out had an unexpected loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Falcons
The Falcons have won four of their last five games and in commanding manner, beating the Carolina Panthers 22-10 and the Los Angeles Rams 26-13 The latter a playoff game which placed them in tonight's matchup with the opportunity to go all the way, a chance they won't give up lightly. Matt Ryan,the Falcons QB, has had an outstanding season throwing for 4095 yards and 20 touchdowns, he will look to continue that form in tonight's game.
If Wentz had been playing tonight the Eagles would almost be a sure thing, but I expect this to be a close fought game with the Philadelphia Eagles just edging the win, Eagles for the spread.
