When Will Real Madrid get past Cristiano Ronaldo?

The answer to the above question is simple, “NEVER”. But does that mean Real Madrid would remain a failure without the Portuguese or any 50 goal per season replacement?

Last night reminded me so very much of Cristiano Ronaldo. Matches like this takes the Portuguese up in the scoring charts and in case you have forgotten this same team Mallorca conceded 4 goals from the Portuguese before they left for the second division.

There has been tons of praises heaped on the Portuguese which he deserves. With Cristiano Ronaldo you are apparently one goal up before the whistle is blown for a match to start. He shoots, heads, has rare striking instincts and scores free kicks. There are more than one ways the Portugues can get yoiu a win and since he left Real Madrid, the Capital of Spain club has deeply suffered.

Last night against Mallorca, we saw a youthful Cristiano Ronaldo in Vinicius Junior only to lose sight of that hope at the end. The young Brazillian still does everything right until he gets close to the 18 yard box and what is Zidane doing about this?

It is apparent from last night that Zidane is still getting to know his team and does that mean it is going to be another trophyless season? Last night was Real Madrid’s chance to keep their unbeaten run going and remain top of the league, showing the world that they mean business and just when a win was duly needed, Zidane laid bare his annoying inexperience in the coaching business.

The French coach rolled out an attacking line up and badly misplaced the players which led to an all night struggle with no just one clear cut chance created.

The players I personally expected to impress and give coach Zidane more selection headache was found wanting last night and Zidane is to be faulted for a bad tactical set up. Cristiano Ronaldo masked Zidane’s ineptitude as a coach but now he is no longer at the club, will Zidane mask his own ineptitude or will there be another Cristiano-esque helper? Time will tell.

They need a big leader...

I can't agree more. The leadership role appears to be bigger than Ramos and he badly needs help.
