Hoy se disputó el partido de ida de la Uefa Champions League entre Manchester United y FC Barcelona en el mítico estadio de Old Trafford. Estadio que era una maldición para el club catalán que nunca había sido capaz de ganar en Olf Trafford. Tras el triunfo de esta noche ya el FC Barcelona se asegura el 50% su pase a semifinales tras no permitir goles y ademas llevarse la ventaja de tener el gol de visitante.

El partido empezó como se esperaba con un Barcelona siendo el protagonista y dictando el tempo del partido con buen control del balón y llegando a finalizar las jugadas y con una recuperación rápida. A pesar del control del partido el Manchester United mantenía un buen orden defensivo con una linea de 5 defensores y 3 medio campistas centrales y los 2 delanteros marcando en campo propio lo que no le permitía al Barcelona ser muy profundo.

En el min 12' Messi hace una diagonal y Sergio Buskets le dio un excelente pase por encima de los defensas y tras un par de regates Messi le da una increible asistencia a Luis Suárez cruzando el balón toda el área y el uruguayo logró cabecear y ocasionar el autogol de Shaw, aunque si Shaw no la toca con su brazo llegaba Coutinho por detrás.

Todos nos imaginamos que después de este gol se vendría la goleada del equipo culé pero no fue así todo lo contrario al pasar unos minutos el Barcelona empezó a perder el control del balón y el juego se hizo mas disputado y físico con muchas faltas por ambas partes y en este tipo de partidos el United es capaz de sacar la mejor parte y fue así cuando Messi recibió un gran golpe de Smalling al hacer un anticipo que termina golpeando la cara de Messi con su brazo.

Ya a punto de terminar el primer tiempo el Manchester United tuvo su ocasión mas clara del partido en un desborde de Young que Dalot no supo si hacer un pase al medio o cabecear a puerta y no terminó siendo ni una cosa ni la otra.

Al empezar la segunda parte el Manchester United salió a ejercer una presión muy alta y recuperaba el balón muy rapido, el Barcelona no era capaz de enlazar 3, 4 pases seguidos pero a pesar de esto no llegaban a concretar ninguna ocasión de gol. Fue entonces cuando Valverde echo mano de su banquillo e hizo ingresar a Sergi Roberto y Vidal para darle mas fuerza al medio campo y empezar a recuperar mas los rebotes y controlar mas el juego. Los cambios en el Barcelona surtieron efecto para ganar mas las segundas oportunidades pero el partido se siguió jugando como el United quería pero sin terminar de llegar a preocupar con claridad a Ter Stergen.

Este primer triunfo del FC Barcelona en Old Trafford deja la serie casi sentenciada ya que en el Camp Nou el conjunto blaugrana no pierde desde el 2013 cuando fue humillado por el Bayern Munich con un contundente 0-3 . Y sabemos que en casa el Barcelona se hace muy fuerte y hoy a pesar de no haber podido desplegar su gran juego pudo resolver un partido muy complicado.

Valverde aprendió del error del año pasado contra la AS Roma de no haber hecho buenas rotaciones en la plantilla y este fin de semana se enfrentan al Huesca y ya con una ventaja en La Liga de 11 puntos sobre el Atletico de Madrid debería de hacer una rotación profunda en este partido para dar descanso a los jugadores mas importantes para el partido de vuelta en el Camp Nou el siguiente martes 16 de abril contra el Manchester United.

Esperaremos con muchas ganas este gran partido que de seguro no nos defraudara y nos dejara muchas emociones.
