Russell Westbrook Dedicated Historically Great Game To Nipsey Hussle.(But Included A Gang Reference.)
A few days ago Westbrook became the second player ever to get 20 points, 20 rebounds and 20 assists in a single game. (Wilt Chamberlain is the other.)
He dedicated his performance to the recently deceased rapper Nipsey Hussle. By all accounts Nipsey was a great man who loved his community of South Central LA and did much to help it. Westbrook is also from LA.
It was a great performance but he hinted at a shout out to a branch of the Crips gang called the Rolling 60’s, of which Nipsey was a former member. I think that this brought negative and unnecessary attention to his well intentioned gesture to Nipsey.
I’m a big fan of Westbrook and from what I know of Nipsey he seemed like a very good man.
