How to Tag Your SportSteem Prediction Post

Hi SportSteem Fans!
We wanted to provide an easy-to-view list of tags that are currently supported by the SportSteem bot. Because we are building scalable software, we're using tags to track the pick you make in your prediction post. In the tag portion of your prediction post, you need 4 components:
- Register: Use
sportsteemto register for the contest (and have our bot track your picks moving forward) - Indicate Your League: Use
nfl|mlb|nba|nhlto indicate the league. (more leagues coming soon, includingncaafandsoccer) - Choose Your Team: Use the team abbreviation (e.g.
nefor New England Patriots ornyyfor New York Yankees) - see tables below for currently accepted abbreviations - Make Your Pick: The type of pick you are making (e.g.
spreadfor that team to cover the spread,mlfor that team to win the game, &overorunderif you think the total score of that game will be over or under)
That's it! We will keep this post updated as we add more leagues, teams, and other features.

This is fantastic, but how are you going to rank everyone, using a simple plus-minus or some other system? How are you going to account for the fact that a person might like a pick for 10x the bet? So if you like game A and game B but you'd bet $1 on game A and $10 on Game B, how would you handicap that?
Hey tenhanger! Thanks for your question. Currently every pick is worth one unit. We may implement functionality later that will allow people to vary the number of units associated with a pick, but we don't support that yet.
