One of the major 4 tournaments across the globe started today in the US. The most talented Tennis players compete about the next Grand Slam win in a very modern stadium - or isn't it a modern stadium? Who will win the tournament? In the Men tournament there are these old man from Europe still playing - Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer - are they beatable at Flushing Meadows?
What about the ladies? Will it be one of these Girls named Karolina Pliskova, Simona Halep and Garbine Muguruza to go through and win the Cup?

Zverev and Kerber - well i have to bet on the Germans :-)
I like your guess on Zverev as he was my #1 pick so you can imagine my disappointment when he lost in the first round. I'm having a similar contest as well running right now.

Federer and Halep
Federer has never had to start a grand slam with back-to-back five setters but it appears that he got his act together and started playing well by beating Lopez in straight sets last night. Kohlschreiber should pose no problems we should get to see the match that every tennis fan has been waiting for in the last 12 years: Federer vs. Rafa in the semis. My pick was on Rafa based on Federer's first two matches, but now goes back to Federer based on his last match. Might as well just flip a coin because that's basically what it is. My obvious prediction: whoever wins the semis from the top half wins the championship as the bottom half has already been decimated.
Roger Federer, Garbine Muguruza
As long as Fed gets through Nadal in the semis (assuming both survive to meet each other) he wins USO!
If Nadal wins that semis, Nadal will win USO. Not to underestimate anyone from the bottom half, but when the highest seed remaining in the bottom half is Pablo Carreno Busta, you would have to agree with my assessment.
