Futsal Tournament

Played a futsal tournament last night with my friends, for those who don't know futsal is a mini version of football you basically play 5 v 5 for about 10 minutes half on a concrete or trough court. The goals are also smaller in size. The upside is you have fast paced game and higher number of goals and shots during the game. It's really popular in the streets of many countries players like Ronaldhinio have been noticed playing futsal this happened when the legend scored 23 goals for his side, simply amazing.

This was after a long time and we had a lack of practice hence got knocked out in the Quarter finals, was disappointed with the result but in the end of the day we had fun on the field. The tournament has been taking place with it's 8th edition this year called PGF. It was obviously well organised. I play in the defensive role so nothing special to show off on, expect for one absolut golazo in the group stages I laced the shot and it went in. I don't score often and hence went bezurk during the celebration, really passionate about the sport I play.

People in Pakistan are getting to know this sport at a high rate with the arrival of leisure leagues an international futsal league competition. I've been playing competitive tournaments since 2012 played my first one in the under 15 category and we reached the final. We've come far from then and have seen the sport grow through the masses. It is the love for football that still keeps me motivated although as you can see I have gained some weight which affects my speed and agility a little but the will to play keeps me going.
