Bruce Boudreau, the Hockey Fan

With the Minnesota Wild now sitting idle for the next couple of days, it's interesting to watch how the different characters in the team handle themselves.

While staying level is key, everyone handles themselves differently, so it's about finding what works for each individual.

Bruce Boudreau is one that likes to stay fully wired into the NHL and what's happening around the league. We know he's a student of the game... or just a big fan at heart, and was asked how he's handling watching the others play while his team lays idle:

“I was either giving a big cheer or getting ticked off. That’s what this time of the year is all about. That’s what makes sports so exciting.”

Yep, definitely just a big fan like the rest of us. What a guy, seriously!

“There’s no comfort at all. I go through the lists 20 times a day of who plays who and the ramifications of that.”

Can't you just picture Boudreau doing his research at his Desktop computer, leaning into the screen as he jots down some scoreboard ramifications on his physical pen and paper.

Then yelling at the TV screen as Dallas or St Louis manages to jag a point or two. A hilarious thought if you're into that sort of thing.

But it's not all fun and games for Boudreau and the Wild, with practise sessions as gruelling as ever. They're certainly not going to be in-nettle hardened come Nashville when they resume.
