Manchester City continues their losing streak
Another game, another loss for Manchester City, a team that has dominated the most part of the Premier League. Coming off of their loss to Liverpool last week, it was expected that Manchester City will fight to regain their glory with at least a draw against Manchester United but it was not to be.

In the first half of the game, it was looking like Manchester City were heading for a win when in the 25th minute, Vincent Kompany kicked off the goal scoring by heading a corner kick into the top mid-right section of Manchester United’s goal post. Although his shirt was being seriously pulled on by United’s Smalling, he still succeeded in clinching the first goal for his team. The next goal for City was delivered by Ilkay Gundogan in the 30th minute. Sterling passed the ball to Gundogan who then made a skillful turn and finished it up with his right foot.
When most people saw that City was already 2 -0 up, they concluded that there was no way United could recover. They did not imagine what was in store for the second half.

In the second half, Jose Mourinho’s team decided to do the impossible by pulling back from a 2-0 deficit and winning the game 2 – 3. Paul Pogba pulled a shocking stunt by finding the back of City’s net twice in less than 5 minutes. The first goal came on the 53rd minutes when Pogba won the confrontation with City’s goal keeper and chipped the ball over the goal keeper’s head, bringing the scores to 2-1. Next, Pogba executed a beautiful header in 55th minute, leveling the playing field for both teams. Manchester United dealt the finishing blow to Manchester City’s ego in the 69th minute when Smalling redeemed himself by scoring the decider and giving his team their win.

This game for me was the game of the season. Manchester United changed in the second half. Alexis Sanchez was my man of the match. He made 2 assists to Paul Pogba’s header to secure the draw and Chris Smalling winning goal. I did wish I was a Man U fan that day..lol That feeling of coming from 2 goals down against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester city is a miracle.
Looking forward to Manchester city’s next game against Liverpool in the champions league return leg at the etihad on Tuesday. That is going to be a tough game. I want to see how Manchester city will react to 2 straight defeats in less than a week. Could it be that Man city is on the verge of loosing 3 straight games? I doubt so though. But I don’t see Liverpool loosing the game.
