India's first gold at a world track event

This is India’s first-ever gold at a world track event.

18 year old Hima Das a girl from Assam,India, on Thursday scripted history by winning gold in IAAF WORLD U20 ATHELIC CHAMPIONSHIP in Finland on 12 july.

She is the first Indian woman to win a gold at the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championship.

Hima Das is daughter of farmer at Kandhulimari village at Nagaon district of Assam .
