Missing Everyone but Staying Busy
Hello to all of my friends here on Steemit, especially those in the freewrite community. I hope you are all well and prospering! Believe it or not, the photo above is of me in high school with the lead role in or Senior play. In this image, I'm playing the part of a radio DJ broadcasting live from a local diner. The girls in the photo have entered a bubble gum blowing contest and they are waiting their turn to see which one can blow the biggest bubble. Hey, was I cool or what! Haha, I hear you saying "or what" lol.
I just wanted to bring those of you who still remember me, and care, up to date on what I have been doing. As many of you know I was really excited about the new Sports Media Blockchain based site that just started up a few weeks ago called Scorum. I had missed out on the early days of Steemit and I have been determined not to miss out on another opportunity like that. I'm not really much of a Sportswriter, sports is more in my wife's department as she sits and watches ballgames all of the time. You know how much I like to write a story so I'm much more suited for writing over here with all of you wonderful people than I am writing on Scorum. But Scorum is so much more than a blogging site and it is so new and exciting that it has been taking up almost all of my time.
Saying that I'm not much of a sportswriter does not mean that I can't write a sports-related blog, I wasn't only an actor in high school you know, I also lettered in three sports. ;)
I want to apologize to @mariannewest and the rest of my @freewritehouse friends for all the neglect I've shown to Steemit and our project here, I'm assuming that I haven't been kicked out yet. I need just a little more time building my Scorum account and then it is my intention to come back to Steemit and begin to spend time then on both platforms. My wife is on Scorum with me and she will be doing more blogging over there than I will, most of my blogging will be here with all of you. My biggest contribution on Scorum will be more about curating and commenting on blogs as well as uploading original photos for their photo database. I love and miss doing the freewrites and I look forward to getting back into the swing of things one day soon. If you're wondering, I think I told you all a long time ago that I have a one-track mind, and I'm not just saying that I really do. I've never have been much of a multitasker, now in my decrepit state, it is almost impossible for me. So if I tried to do both at full speed I would just make a mess of both, and this opportunity on Scorum will only be available one time, then the big payouts will be over and building an account will be just as hard or harder than it is on Steemit right now.
Currently, all of us over on Scorum are excitedly awaiting a big air-drop that will occur on Aug. 1st, at that time everyone that is signed up on the blogging platform will get a bonus of 1.6X all of their earnings up to this point. The reason that the Scorum team decided to do this is because the blockchain went live prior to the blogging platform, so for several weeks, Scorum tokens were being deposited into the rewards pool with no one to distribute them and no blogs to distribute them on. So all of those tokens will be shared among the members who have been active on the platform. This is going to be a huge boost for me personally since I have been working very hard over there and I have already earned a sizable amount of Scorum Power. Yes @mariannewest, I'm almost where I told you that I hoped I would be and a lot faster than I ever dreamed possible.

Great to hear what you have been doing. I tried to join Sorum but it won't accept my landline or mobile numbers. It gives the message that they are invalid format!

Hmmm, I'm sorry that you couldn't sign up for an account on Scorum, I'm sure that it's just a minor glitch. I know that if people from some of these remote areas in the world that are currently blogging on Scorum can sign up, then surely it will let you get an account also. :(
It's the format of my phone numbers but there's nothing I can do about them, haha. I'll try again in a few weeks.

I signed up my husband and he has done nothing!!! And he is the sports person. I don't get sports at all - besides the ones I do - like, I get exercising but have little interest in teamsports and such. But I will sign up and vote for you for sure!!!

@mariannewest, it doesn't have to be a team sport. You can use exercising, yoga, running... just about anything active.
Well, I will try to post something later today. Yoga, I do know a little bit about :) and hiking too - if that is a thing :)

STOPHi there, hope all is going well over on Scorum... I was close to signing up when I saw your first post about the site a few months back, but put it on the long finger... Then for some reason it popped back into my head and I joined under my @ablaze name yesterday and have posted some soccer and golf stuff... Any tips appreciated, what is your username over there?
Nice! I'm so glad you decided to give Scorum a chance and I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the experience and how it differs from Steemit. You can find me over there as "pete" and I just looked for you but you must have just made some comments and not blogs. You can find most of my blogs under the Scorum and NCAA sections but I have not posted a blog in over a week now. I comment all over the place but I don't get into the soccer section very often. Look me up and make sure you let me know if you post an Intro. blog.

I see your blog now and will give you a little help getting started. Remember that Scorum is new and we have a good bit of identity theft, and yes they are stealing usernames from Steemit and impersonating those accounts on Scorum, and we also have copy and paste plagiarizers galore. So think about doing an introductory post verifying who you are, or at least that you are for real and not a scammer lol. I have a good support system and I can verify you with them just from this comment, but others will be skeptical until they see that seasoned members have accepted you as a blogger of original material. 🙂
Really really appreciate the advise and the support you've shown me @deaconlee I'm loving the scorum experience so far, and will continue to juggle Steemit and Scorum for now, but can see my attention turning more to Scorum as times goes by..
