Consistency is Everything

After a 3-1 defeat at home to Manchester City, Arsenal now entertains his supporters by giving the good news of one of his best players. Nacho Monreal won the PFA Premier League Fans of the Month award for October.

This is indeed a surprise for the Gunners, why?

I thought that the Manchester City players deserve the award. Like Gabriel Jesus, David Silva, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, to Kevin De Bruyne. Indeed, City's performance on the team is very impressive and convincing.

But when it involves polling in cyberspace, Arsenal players become the choice of supporters ranks. Arsenal supporters are very militant, especially in cyberspace. On the other hand, Nacho Monreal did show a very consistent performance in October.

During October, Monreal was instrumental in all of Arsenal's victories. That month, Arsenal beat Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton and Swansea City. Monreal himself made a goal against Brighton and Everton. His goal against Everton triggered the revival of Arsenal.

One of Monreal's successes was the change of position from the left-wing defender to a central defender in the Wenger 3-4-2-1 scheme. Currently, Monreal bears the nickname Mr. Consistent because of the glorious appearance during the month of October. Previously, Monreal has won the award for the best player choice by Arsenal supporters for September and October.

Underestimated because it did not play in its original position, and not strong stature, Monreal actually provide the most important lesson for all the central defenders in the world. Monreal teaches that consistency is everything in football. Without consistency, you will not be able to play at the highest level. Congratulations!
