The Champions League Star of the Week
The result of the Champions League fourth Matchday which took place yesterday has passed four teams from three different groups into the Champions League last-16 stage. Among them are Bayern München and Paris Saint-Germain from Group B, Manchester City from Group F, and Tottenham Hotspur from Group H.
There are some surprising things happening this week, one of which surprised me was the failure of the two defending Spanish and Premier League champions Chelsea and Real Madrid to win the games. Can be said they were defeated.
Chelsea fell at AS Roma home with a score of 3-0, as well as Real Madrid who fell at home Tottenham Hotspur 3-1. While Atletico Madrid and Juventus even stuck in the face of Qarabag and Sporting Lisbon.
In this matchday also, some newcomers also showed a brilliant performance so that the role of positive results obtained by the club. Some names, even very rarely heard. Here are some players who become heroes for the club, but some of their names are never been heard before:
Ibrahim Sehic (Qarabag)
I'm sure you are more familiar with the names of Atletico Madrid players than on this one goalkeeper. Because Atletico Madrid plays in the Spanish League. But we have to know, nine saves by Ibrahim Sehic successfully gave a draw game against Atletico Madrid 1-1 in the Champions League.
Clement Lenglet (Sevilla)
Sevilla clinched victory over Spartak Moscow with a score of 2-1 at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. Their position was boosted to the second rank of Group E standings. Who is the figure behind him? Clearly indispensable from Lenglet's contribution. In the game, the French center-back contributed the opening goal utilizing Ever Banega assist. It is also a motivation for his team to win the game.
Layvin Kurzawa (Paris Saint-Germain)
Honestly, I just first heard the name of this one player, Layvin Kurzawa. His position as a defender in PSG, as we know, scored a goal is not the main task of the defending players. But Kurzawa successfully did when Paris Saing-Germain (PSG) beat Anderlecht. French player is directly incised hat trick in a landslide victory 5-0. That is, now Kurzawa recorded as the first defender who successfully recorded three goals in one game in the Champions League. Awesome!
Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur)
Playing at Wembley Stadium, Tottenham managed to beat Real Madrid with a score of 3-1. Dele Alli became the victory star of The Lilywhites in this match. Remarkably, the 21-year-old scored two goals against Real Madrid, each in the 27th and 56th minutes.
Stephan El Sharaawy (AS Roma)
It seems incomplete if not mention the name of the star of Roma's victory over Chelsea, Stephan El Sharaawy. Chelsea is targeting a win when they travel to the Stadio Olimpico, AS Roma, should accept a 3-0 defeat to AS Roma. In this precious victory, El Sharaawy booked a brace. With a positive result over Chelsea, Roma also entitled to occupy the top position of Group C.
