India will look to bounce back from a shoddy opening performance when they take on Sri Lanka in the second ODI in Mohali. India v Sri Lanka betting tips for the second ODI below.

My Steemit.com Tipping Track Record So Far:
If you bet 10 Steem units on each of my recommendations so far, you would have a profit of 61.33 Steem units

What a performance by Sri Lanka in the first ODI! They registered their first ODI win after losing 12 in a row and they can thank the toss and the pitch for that - it ripped through the Indian batting line-up and had them reeling at 25 for seven at one stage.

When I gave my tip of an under 290.5 runs in the first innings for the first ODI, little did I know it would go that bad for India that they would even scrape past 100. Well, one way or the other, it would have won you some money, so that's something to cheer!

It's not often that a day game is played in India and that experiment might cause few more issues for the team batting first. Which is why, in this second ODI as well, look to go for under scores yet again.

India v Sri Lanka 2nd ODI Betting Tips:

For now, I am looking at India to be the team of top batsman: 1/2 (BetFair)
Highest Individual Score - Over 108.5: 11/10 (bet365)

Here's one other tip I could give, although you will need to be on the top of the game here. Usually, in day games, teams make a slow start and even struggle to get going in the first 10 overs. If that's the case, the bookmakers could end up lowering the total runs made by the team - like what would have happened in the first ODI as well. My suggest is that if it's that kind of a slow start, do have a look at the wickets lost and if it's a lot of them, then go for the "Over" figure. This is because the team batting first should logically have a better end to their innings than their start in a day game. Let me know if you have any queries even during the game and I will try my best to get back immediately.

Some good advice there. India can be a tough place to predict with the conditions as they are. Sometimes the first 10 overs can be the best time to bat with field restrictions and the ball coming on fast. Especially on the spinning dirtbowls the ball gets scuffed and harder to play when the reverse swing and spin takes hold.

Usually that's the case, but in a day game (as opposed to a day-nighter) in India that proposition changes. The trouble is that teams aren't usually used to batting first in day games under dewy conditions any more and batting in the first 10-15 overs might be difficult. So teams make a slower start and then finish well. This game in Mohali starts at 11.30 am local time - same time as the first ODI.

Good time for Australian viewers. I might actually watch this one.

Yep, most Aussies should be home by the time this game begins.

Here's my tip..
If India bats first, another below par batting show can be expected. A sub 230 score. Sans Kohli the batting has always been iffy. So while the line up has big names, they lack the solidity and assuredness.

Kind of difficult to predict if the Lankans get to bat first though. Bhuvaneshwar may pick up a few early wickets himself.

My money is on a 2-0 scorecard.

Aah, that's a very pessimistic call I would say for a team that's been on a winning roll. Kohli's absence is an obvious factor but I still think the Indian batting is strong enough to get the runs. Still, batting first might not be easy in the winters.

Quite an accurate prediction. Isn't it?

Sri Lanka-India matches can bore you to death. But with such spicy pitches, games still become more palatable. Else it is the same story of Kohli, Dhawan, Rohit...

I'm really excited about Afghanistan's first test match. Really great news for cricket lovers..

I think every other game, whether or not Kohli's playing, should be played on spicy pitches. Batsmen are too pampered these days.
