Dream Recall Is Still Not Easy For Me...

When I woke up this morning, I couldn't remember my dreams. I thought about it for 10 minutes or so and then I slowly started remembering a dream.

I didn't remember much detail, but I know I had a girlfriend in my dream and I was at a beach.

The water was really cold for everyone, but when I put my arm in the water, it felt warm, so I decided to jump in the water!

My girlfriend tried to stop me but I still did it anyways! Haha, ain't nobody stoppin' me when I'm about to jump into water...

Anyway, I was in the water for a while, but then I don't remember anything else.

Still, this is the most recall I had since the last couple of days. I still don't get it why my recall is so terrible now, even though it was quite alright before I started doing this journey...

Since I'm dreaming about having a girlfriend quite a lot lately, I decided to check some dream interpretations and see what it could possibly mean. Here's what I've found:

Dreaming of a girlfriend usually suggests a desire for commitment, but without the associations and expectations that go along with being married. Think carefully about how you are treating her in your dream, particularly if you are not dreaming of your real-life girlfriend, because sometimes a girlfriend in a dream can be a representation of yourself. Treating her badly can actually be suggesting that you need to take better care of yourself. (Source)

Well, if it's a representation of myself, then I'm treating myself quite well, because whenever I dream of having a girlfriend I treat her really good! Except this time, I guess I didn't listen to her and I just jumped into the water anyways, haha!

I Took The Supplement Again

So, before going to bed, I took the blue capsule and went to sleep. I set the alarm to go off after 4 hours of sleep.

I was really tired for some reason, so I fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Then, I woke up once at night, and fell asleep after like 15 minutes.

The alarm woke me up next and I took the red capsule. I also did the WILD method after I took the capsule.

The WILD method means that I have to lay in bed without moving, until I achieve sleep paralysis from where I can go straight into a dream fully conscious.

So, I was laying on my back and I tried to ignore the weird sounds around me. Every fucking night there's some weird sounds in my room and it takes my mind away from relaxation.

I tried to be still for more than 30 minutes... I did feel some sort of relaxation, but I was nowhere near to achieving sleep paralysis and it started getting really uncomfortable to stay still for that long...

I couldn't do it any longer, just because I was not comfortable anymore.

I turned on my side and fell asleep in a couple of minutes.

But, I did some reading when I woke up. I searched for more information about the WILD method and what I could be doing wrong...

I Found Something Interesting

I found a post on a forum explaining that when you're trying to do the WILD method, you shouldn't focus on it when you're actually doing it...

When I wake up in the middle of the night and I lay still, I focusing on achieving sleep paralysis and I want to see some colors as well.

I focus on achieving that, because you can get to a lucid dream from there on.

So, instead of focusing on these things, I should let my mind wander a little bit, but not as much so it would fall asleep. I gotta stay conscious but let my body do the sleeping!

Tonight I will be trying the WILD method once again and I will try to shift my focus else where.

The post also explained how you shouldn't focus on the colors or body sensations that you might feel when sleep paralysis finally kicks in.

So, I'll do my best to ignore the colors or any sensations that I might feel.

I'm ending the post right here. Going to post tonight's experiences tomorrow! At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)

I Will Be Doing This Every Day!

The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement.

I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams.

For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious.

It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that!

Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her!

Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized.

To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way.

It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world.

There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal!

  1. So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day.

  2. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming.

  3. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day.

  4. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well.

  5. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams.

  6. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating.

  7. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly.

  8. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis.

  9. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up.

  10. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.

Tracking All My Progress!

So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit.

Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still.

When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping.

I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days!

This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid.

But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!

My Lucid Dreaming Journey Day 6 - Got My Dream Leaf Delivered!

Sort:

I didn't realise that it was called the WILD method. I try to lay still until I'm very uncomfortable, then move to a more comfortable position which really helps me sleep. I struggle to get to sleep otherwise. I might try and stay put to induce lucid dreaming tonight.

If you attempt this method, make sure to do this after 4 hours of sleep, because it only works when you wake up from REM sleep.

Stay strong. It's a test for your patience. You'll make it eventually and I'm waiting for it!

Yes indeed it's a test for my patience! But I'm willing to keep on going no matter how long it takes. I'm waiting for it to happen as well, hehe :P
