My Lucid Dreaming Journey Day 60 - Ecstasy Has No Effects
Sense My Body While Sleeping
My dream recall might be coming back, since I did remember more details than usual this morning. I mean the recall is nowhere near what it used to be, but it's still better than nothing.
I also did the SSILD technique today, which I haven't done for some days, since I wasn't able to wake up in 4 hours of sleep, LOL.
But it was a bit weird. Before doing the SSILD technique, I stayed awake for 10 minutes so I wouldn't fall asleep too quickly. Then, after performing the technique, I tried to sleep.
The weird thing is, it always felt like I was awake. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it was like dreaming and being awake at once.
Or, more like, really vivid imagination. I mean, I kinda felt my body laying there in bed, but I was also kinda dreaming. I was neither awake nor sleeping, that's the best explanation I can give.
I'm not sure why this happened, but it could be because of SSILD technique. I might've became quite aware, thus I sensed my body while I was dreaming.
Well, even though I felt this, I didn't realize I'm dreaming. I know, I know... When you are dreaming and also feel your real body, it should be automatic to become lucid, right?
But for some reason, I didn't realize I'm dreaming. I didn't think of anything at all really. I only thought about all of this when I woke up.
I wasn't really conscious and I had no thoughts about my body or the dream. My brain just wasn't working at that moment!
This experience wasn't very refreshing, because I felt a bit tired when I woke up. It literally felt like I wasn't sleeping after I woke up to perform the technique.
Ecstasy Dreams Again
My dream memory begins when I was with my brother and sister. I can't recall what place we were at, but we didn't stay there for long and we went back home.
I do remember being in a car, but we arrived home really quickly. Also, I think we bought some drugs in that place before leaving.
To be more exact, my brother bought it. Ecstasy or something like that. I agreed to use them with him. My brother tried to convince our sister to take them with us, but she refused at first.
Once we came back home, there was a party. It was a weird party. There wasn't any food and everyone was hungry. My brother was concerned, because he told me we will need food when we take those drugs, LOL.
Moments later, the room morphed into a different room. It was no longer my room. It was a room that I've never been in before.
Anyway, me and my brother took 1 pill each. I didn't feel anything at all, no effects. But, my brother did feel something. He didn't last long, because he just went to sleep after 10 minutes.
Then, I managed to convince my sister to take some ecstasy with me. We both took 1 pill each. I didn't feel anything again.
She felt nothing as well. So, we took another pill each. This time she told me that she can feel something happening. I still couldn't feel anything!
I also remember we wanted to turn on some loud music, but my mother kept entering the room (she was drunk from the party), and kept telling us to turn it down.
Another detail I remember, the room was really dark and there were no lights. It was also night time, so no lights were entering through the windows.
This is the second time I dream about taking ecstasy, but this time I didn't feel any effects.
Some Dream Interpretations
I never usually did this before I started this journey, but it's a great way to get even more immersed into the dream world. I don't necessarily believe in the interpretations.
First, I got back home and there was a party. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:
So, to dream of a party means you will be content, it is a positive dream. If the party was negative in any way you should work on your social life. Anything “bad” happening in the dream of the party indicates that you are missing the fun in everyday life. Your dream is also associated with your current state of mind. (Source)
Well, there wasn't really anything bad or negative about the party. There was no food in there and everyone was hungry, but I didn't feel any negative vibes.
I think a party with no food could possibly mean something, but I don't know what. Is something missing in my life? Maybe the hungry guests are representations of myself that I'm hungry for something in life, but I'm not getting it?
Next, I took ecstasy in my dream. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:
To dream that you have or take ecstasy suggests that you need a fast "repair". You chose an alternative that will not go well for you, but that seems at hand to get rid of the problems you have. (Source)
Hmm, not sure what this means... If it suggests that I'm taking drugs for a fast repair, then it's not the case. I don't take drugs to run away from reality. I'm comfortable living my life the way I live it, and I have no need to run from my problems.
If problems to come up, I try to fix them without running away. I know that alcohol or any other drug is not going to fix things, but only make it worse.
I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)
I Will Be Doing This Every Day!
The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement. I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams. For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious. It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that! Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her! Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized. To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way. It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world. There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal! So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.
Tracking All My Progress!
So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit. Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still. When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping. I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days! This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid. But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!
UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12
I will become lucid tonight!
