My Lucid Dreaming Journey Day 35 - Where Are Those Dreams?

I didn't have any dreams for 2 days...

This week is kinda slow in terms of progress... No dreams for 2 days and even though I did have dreams this morning, they weren't vivid at all.

I don't know why this is happening. I have no dreams way too often. On Monday I took Dream Leaf, but even with the supplement I wasn't able to dream, lol.

I'll take it again today.

I also can't seem to wake up by alarm after 4 hours of sleep. I made sure it plays laud and everything, but I still never wake up!

This is really weird, because it never happened before. I always woke up easily even from the smallest of sounds.

I'm also pretty aware throughout the day and I keep questioning reality all the time.

Today, I was dreaming about being in a party or something like that...

My memory starts when I was standing next to a table and looking for a beer. I found one and started drinking it.

Everyone around me was drinking beer as well. I had so many awkward handshakes...

People kept coming up to me to shake my hand. We would always introduce myself by telling them my name and then I immediately look away.

Then they proceed to introduce themselves, but the situation becomes so awkward, it's kinda hard to explain. I'm already walking away and they are still talking to me.

This went on for a while. Then there was this dude that appeared out of nowhere and I spent most of my time with him from there on out.

We both got into some room and then I was looking for food. I remember finding some sort of object and I wanted to wash it.

I did not succeed at washing it, cuz there was no way to do so!

Anyway, people started coming to this room. Random beds appeared out of nowhere and all of them got into beds.

I got into a bed as well. My dream friend was lying in the same bed as well.

Then, a woman started crying and this guy just went to hug her. I thought it was weird, so I pretended I was sleeping, in case they would ask me to do the same...

I had beer with me and I accidentally spilled it in the bed. Nobody saw me though, so it was cool! At this point I should've realized I'm dreaming, because the beer magically got back into the cup, but I didn't seem to care...

Then, a girl came to me and asked me if I wanted to leave this room with her. I agreed to do it, cuz I didn't feel comfortable here with all the crying and shit.

She was extremely close to me. Then, she started asking questions like, "So, do you want a girlfriend?". I always pretended to be stupid and replied with something like, "What kind of girlfriend? What's a girlfriend?".

She was beautiful and everything, so I don't know why I acted like this.

Then she started tickling me! Ahhh, that's my only weakness you demonic creature! I started laughing pretty laud and then someone shouted, "Stop doing that!".

I stood up (yes she tickled me so hard, I had to lay down), and saw a woman. That's when I woke up...

Some Dream Interpretations

I never normally did this before I started this journey, but I think it's going to be fun to check out what my dreams mean, since I'm getting more involved with them.

I don't necessarily believe the interpretations, but it's a great way to get even more immersed into the dream world.

So, in my dream I was drinking beer. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

If you are drinking beer then you may need to be very careful that you do not loose a large amount of money on gambling, such as horse racing lotteries. (Source)

Horse racing here I come! But seriously, I don't gamble, so I'm not gonna lose any money to this shit... Or will I? Those horses seem really strong... Hmm, maybe this one will win? I'll bet on it!

Next, the girl tickled me in this dream. What could this possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

Tickling also has spiritual meaning, a healthy approach of humour reaches to a point of your spirituality when you see yourself getting tickled. It is actually considered that tickling is not that tragic, you might reach your successes with a little bit of cheerfulness. (Source)

Well, I found so many different interpretation for this one... I guess it's associated with my humor. I spend most of the day laughing from all sorts of things, because almost everything is funny to me.

I'd say that's quite a healthy lifestyle, ain't it?

I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)

I Will Be Doing This Every Day!

The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement.

I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams.

For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious.

It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that!

Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her!

Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized.

To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way.

It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world.

There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal!

  1. So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day.

  2. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming.

  3. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day.

  4. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well.

  5. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams.

  6. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating.

  7. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly.

  8. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis.

  9. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up.

  10. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.

Tracking All My Progress!

So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit.

Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still.

When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping.

I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days!

This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid.

But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!

UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12
