Overview

The human aura is comprised of several energy layers. It is believed that there are possibly up to 15 layers of human aura. Here, the main auric layers will be discussed. There are seven main energy layers to the human aura. They include the following:

Layer One-Associated with the etheric body and the colour red

Layer Two-Associated with the emotional body and the colour orange

Layer Three-Associated with the mental body and the colour yellow

Layer Four-Associated with the astral body and the colour green

Layer Five-Associated with the etheric template and the colour blue

Layer Six-Associated with the celestial/angelic body and the colour indigo

Layer Seven-Associated with Ketheric body and the colour violet

The seven levels of the auric field also correspond with the seven energy centres of the body also known as the chakras. This further links the human aura with the energy system of the body. In many ways, the human aura is the energy of the chakra system extending out from the physical body.

Detecting the Human Aura

There are ways that the human aura can be detected. Some people are capable of seeing the auric fields of others naturally while others learn how to do so with practice. Learning how to see the aura is a simple process that can be learned with minimal effort. It simply requires focusing on a specific area on the outline of a person’s body. This is best done with a light or white background. Upon focusing, a transparent outline of the body will appear. This is the aura. With continued focus, this transparent area will extend and become a more definitive colour.

Auras can also be sensed. It is important to remember that the aura is simply the energetic field of a person. Oftentimes when we are able to pick up a person’s vibrations, this is a way of reading a person’s auras without necessarily seeing it.

Aura Colors and Meanings

Upon learning how to detect an aura visually, the colours that are seen in the auric field provide information on a person’s well-being on a variety of levels. The ability to see and sense auras are called auric sight. The following are some aura colours and their meanings. The meanings of the aura colours vary depending on the shade of the particular colour. For example, bright red and dark red read differently on an energetic level.

Red-will power, feeling grounded, anger, energetic, passionate

Orange-courage, perfection, creative

Yellow-creative, curious, powerful

Green-love, balance, jealousy, resentment

Blue-sensitivity, calmness, inability to express oneself

Indigo-intuitive

Violet-enlightenment

Silver-abundance

Gold-wisdom
White-purity

Pink-sensitivity, compassionate, dishonest or immature

Cleansing the Aura

In understanding that the auric field holds energy, it is important to cleanse the aura of any unwanted energy attachments that may impact one’s personal energy field. Some people are able to do this by using sea salt while bathing to cleanse the aura

Other options include energetically cleansing the aura via a visualization with cleansing white or golden light. Finally, some energy distortions in an aura can only be removed by addressing the issue that causes the distortion. For example, a person with a dark pink aura may have issues with being dishonest and/or immature. The auric field will display this colour until the person makes an effort to address these character traits within him/herself.
