It's unfortunate that so many people who awaken to the manipulatve sham that is "big religion" then seem to turn their backs on all spirituality. I'm reminded of the old Sanskrit motto, adopted by The Theosophical Society, "there is no religion higher than truth" because, at the end of the day, the only truth that really matters is the one that resonates with us personally.
