The ego's hankering for the illusion

Whenever we set goals we insinuate searching for something we haven't yet. Goal-setting is the strategy of focusing on lack instead of abundance, detesting the beauty of the pathway and each moment's noteworthiness.

As soon as we set a goal it becomes crystal clear that the pathway itself isn't 100% in alignment with our Heart's fulfillment, because any goal comes along with at least a breeze of attachment to Time and discipline. Discipline is defined by potential outcome as the exclusive motivation to keep us on track with the execution of an occupation which is against our Heart's passion.

Yet goal-setting's lure to achievement is a farce as well, for once attained, the ego's everlasting discontent tries its best to distract us from absorbing the splendor of our creation, instead longing for the immediate set of new goals which again tempt us with illusionary satisfaction.

Heart-based work doesn't require goals, for it is endowed with the unquenchable source of passion capable of creating a Universe of stellar Self-containment that instantly remunerates us with effervescent Joy. A Joy the ego's illusory enticement will never be able to emulate due to its discontent nature's relentless lookout for the fly in the ointment.

The ego's denigration of the present moment's feeling will eventually make for our Heart's squealing. Only once we wake up from the camouflage with which we've been dealing, inherent Truth becomes appealing:

When we follow our ego's hankering for the illusion it will entail our Happiness' exclusion.

So drop your goals.

Much Love and Light,

Alex

This constant goal-setting and seeking of an end result instead of noticing and appreciating the now for what it is numbs us; it puts us on autopilot, makes our actions driven by desire and lack of fulfilment, and deprives us of our ability to truly be here in the now.

Excellent post! I really enjoyed reading it.

If you have some spare time and are interested, I invite you over to my blog to read some of my articles.

Namaste!

Thanks for your comment. Nice that you resonate.

I am currently on some technology detox, so I am not that frequently online, but I will come to your page soon. ;)

Thank you!

Nice! How is it going? Sounds like a good idea; a lot of us should consider taking on this detox!

Thanks once again! :)

It feels good, even though I have to admit that spending time on Steemit is by far not as draining as most other internet activity, because I am not wasting time on it but am rather productive. Nonetheless I recommend doing it every once a while ;)

In yoga there are 3 granthis...blockades, which are able to block the energy of anahata, the heart chakra... so most people have a firewall around their hearts and they are mostly listening to their mind...

Your text is really beautiful.
A pure heartopener!!!!

Am I allowed to translate your text to german? Some germans would love to read it in their native language I think.

Aum
