Why Not End Your Search For The Meaning Of Life?

in #spiritual8 years ago

Along the journey of life there is a time where we gain more awareness and start to ask 'What is the meaning of life'?

Source: canvas-of-light.com

My first question is: Who is asking this question?

Yes, it's your brain. It wants answers so it can get a better idea of what it should be doing out there. When the physical brain understands that it is not separate from life, but a part of it, then a lot of questions get answered.

The brain is a creation of life, so it's made of the same life energy that makes up the skies and the birds of the air.

It is the 'me' part of the brain that creates separation, hence it tends to be very judgemental - it is part of the ego after all. What the 'me' brain thinks is just one perspective in life and it only impacts your own personal experience.

If you look a little deeper into life, you'll see that the life-stream itself is neither positive or negative, but it just lives for itself.

If you don't try to see life from the 'me' perspective, and just see life from the perspective of life, it becomes apparent quite quickly why it created a brain with centres of hatred and fear.

It created these centres to provide contrast. In a yin/yang balance, the centres require to know what light is before they can know what darkness is, and vice-versa.

What if the life stream had only created beings that permanently felt joy? This would have created a dead-end ending, there would be no movement or change to life.

Fear and hatred can never truly be eliminated from the brain, and it's not about being positive or negative in your mind states, but just allowing your natural expression to flow. Try to see negativity as resistance to your natural expression.

Do you ever find your Steemit posts have dollars flowing to them when you feel more in harmony with the universe? Me too.

The bottom dollar is that your natural expression is life's meaning for you.

Peace and love to all my fellow Steemians.

You're inspired today!! Nice reflection...I never could do this one because I don't like that "meaning of life" question. There's no meaning...just a life to live!

... and a creative spirit to fulfil ... that is why we have Steemit :)

Oh, the spirit, a fundamental part!! Yes, I can agree Steemit can help on that, but the individual is the one who has the power. You can have the tools but don't know how to use it. For example, I can see something passing by me without looking (and I do it often), but when I',m looking/noticing I'm feeding my own spirit! :)

The spirit is part of the unconscious mind so it can see everything you don't see too ;) It also has access to the collective unconscious too :))

@Mindhunter, a specialist on mind subjects!! :)

I'd say more on the outside of it ;)

By "hunting" others mind!! ;)

... to leave their own minds ;)

Already tricked my mind, now I'm confuse!

Intuition = the lockbox of answers beyond the human mind in a field of infinite awareness :))

Good definition, but not helping...you're in very spiritual mode today, I can't understand!

Simply see intuition as something beyond the organic human brain :)

Not a fan of INXS...but it got me in the mood for a DAVE MATTHEWS BAND & TIM REYNOLDS "sound review".

P.S. Sunday Cook is ready...take a peek;)

My intuition says that my ego is chatting too loudly!! Maybe that's why it's so difficult to understand. This makes any sense?

Yes, but don't suppress the ego. Let it chatter. Over time it will calm down as you don't suppress it any longer. It is this suppression that drives people nuts. You have to do the thing you think you shouldn't do. I know this sounds crazy but it works!

I won't, I guess ego works as a defense mechanism!

I already have done lots of things I shouldn't do...now it's time for settling a little bit (not totally)! ;)

The ego is there from the evolution of man to protect him from sabre tooth tigers etc. We can only ever quieten it nowadays to allow intuition its full volume.

This kind of subject overwhelms my abilities. It's enough for today...TIL with @mindhunter: ego vs intuition..let's play it loud!! :)

Lesson for today: Intuition 1 Ego 0 :)

This is the power
Since time began
Every single hour
That we have known
And from each moment
All that is left
Sleep of the innocent
Just one desire
Shine like it does
Into every heart
Shine like it does
And if you're looking
You will find it
This is the story
Since time began
There will come a day
When we will know it.

While you can never be completely sure what song lyrics mean, I've always thought "Closer to Fine" by the Indigo Girls is saying what you just said

I'm trying to tell you something about my life
Maybe give me insight between black and white
The best thing you've ever done for me
Is to help me take my life less seriously, it's only life after all
...

I went to the doctor, I went to the mountains
I looked to the children, I drank from the fountain
There's more than one answer to these questions
pointing me in a crooked line
The less I seek my source for some definitive
The closer I am to fine.

That's a great Indigo Girls song Debs. Yeah, we all need to step outside ourselves into a greater awareness. Perhaps I should be the @spirithunter (having left my mind behind!)

hmm, just as long as your mind is your servant and not your master, all will be well

^ Polarity. So true.

I can see we are going to get along famously.

A bold move on your part, posting this. It’s a much needed reality check. Some will know exactly what you are talking about and will resonate. But for some this may shatter their illusions. I’m interested to see how people react to this post ....

If this post can crack one heart wide open to awareness, then its all been worth it :))

“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free.”

The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching: Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy, and Liberation.

I'm a big fan of Thich Nhat Hanh's quotations and books :)
