My collaboration distributing scarce medicines to the Venezuelan people

in #spanish7 years ago (edited)

Hi guys, I hope you are well, I am very happy! It makes me happy to think and see how one thing has led to the other and this project is growing more and more !! let me tell you:

To make this charity I gave shoes and clothes to people on the street in need in Venezuela Thanks to the support of Steemit and YouAreHope! I had to go through second-hand stores (or garage sales) and I really could not find good shoes or pants to give away, so I had to pass a text chain to my friends in social medias , relatives and acquaintances.

My dad also helped me by asking his friends and in this search he got in touch with a chilldhood friend, we told him about the project we were working on and he told us that he is one of the people in charge of logistics in the the health ministry's. here in the State Táchira. (WOW THAT SURPRISES) Then we told him that we had already gone several times to give food to people in need at the central hospital in the city. That we realized that there really was a great crisis of scarcity of medicines and surgical medical materials. We asked him how we could do to make a donation to the central hospital.

To our surprise, he responded that they had (the government) organized a day of distribution of medicines to people who need them (directly) and CDI (Comprehensive Diagnostic Center) throughout all the municipalities of Tachira State.
They had already organized all the medicines, he asked us if we wanted to be part of the project, we could support in various ways, not only monetarily!

When reading this I left as WOW how amazing life is! Everything connects

I asked him when the event would be and he replied that by December 23 (GREAT!) We will make happy these people just before Christmas, these sick people who might not be able to afford these medicines, which are not really available in pharmacys or are already very expensive, inaccessible to the average Venezuelan with all other expenses that have to be paid.

And being a day before Christmas would be like an unexpected Christmas gift !!

Without more information than that, we agreed to meet on December 23 to participate in the day and that's what we did.

When we arrived at the meeting place (an oncological hospital) we found all the donated medicines:

All those boxes are full of medicines.

The friend of my dad explained that it was a new project of the Minister of Health of Venezuela, a project through which it is expected to provide the population access to medicines that are not available in pharmacies

I leave you more information:

During the launch of the service, the Minister of Health, Luis Lopez, explained that once the call received by the operator through the 0800-SALUDYA, the data will be loaded into the system and in a period of 48 to 72 hours the The patient must be contacted to indicate the place where he / she should go to the consultation in a CDI (Comprehensive Diagnostic Center). There they will verify that the patient really requires the medication requested and if there is availability it will be delivered immediately

If the medicine is not available, the patient will be registered in the database and will be informed when it becomes available. they will also be contacted in approximately three weeks to indicate when you will receive the medication again, if necessary to continue treatment.

And well, there we were. Willing to help acomplish the objectives of the project.

I helped deliver the medicines and also served as a photographer for the social networks of the Ministry of Health.

and my dad as a driver of one of the designated cars for the distribution of medications.

Touring the city and delivering the medications, the procedure was as follows: call the patients, confirm the address, give them the medication and the patient signed a list to confirm that the medication was delivered and then gave a testimony.

Here we are planning the route we would take to make the direct delivery of the medicines to the patients.

Each packet had the address, telephone number and patient's name recorded.

That group continued distributing medicines directly to patients in the city.

As I was helping as a cameraman, I had to go with another group and take pictures when they delivered the medicines in the CDI (Integral Diagnostic Center) throughout ALL the municipalities of Táchira State. And so we did.

Delivery and confirmation in the list of medications delivered.

We did our best to deliver the medicines on time and to make these people happy for Christmas. What better gift than to receive the medicine you need for free, and it could also be not achievable / inaccessible for them.

I am happy to have helped and documented this project in which quantities of medicines are being distributed every week throughout the country. Regardless of the political match that is, because health is not politicized, it belongs to each of the human beings. Also thanks to this I was able to make friendships that could help to help more people better and make donations to these health care centers.

I also would like to invite the Venezuelan steemit users to try this new service, calling 0800SALUDYA from any part of Venezuela and maybe you could be helped too
