Soneto de la Noche / Night's sonnet

On the threshold of the garden of life there are hidden mysteries which invite us to penetrate them, as attractive as imposing, only the bravest dare to enter and visit them. Dark and impenetrable the night takes part of our unconscious and we respect her as a renegade sister of the day in which strange forces hide while we know they belong to us. In the balance of the sunset we gather the harvest of the day and entering the serene night in reflective dreams we grow our experiences.
compañeras del tiempo inmemorial
de los sueños son fuente y material
que a cada hora en la vida nos visitan
La casa y nuestro fuego las evitan
nos han dicho que son causa del mal
emisarias de un destino fatal
que a los más bajos instintos incitan
Magos y sacerdotes han medrado
empeñados en combatir la noche
de cuya esencia nos han alejado
Unos locos la abrazan sin reproche
burlándose del miedo desgastado
de su fantasía hacen derroche
The nocturnal creatures inhabit us / timeless time companions/ source and material of dreams / they visit us in every hour
The house and our fire are to avoid them / we've been told that they are the cause of evil / emissaries of a fatal destiny / the lowest instincts they are inciting
Wizards and priests take profit / determined to fight the night / from whose essence has led us away
Some crazy people hug her without hesitate / mocking the old fear / their fantasy they exceed
Darkness and clarity from the beginning were separated, we are in need to make balance of what has been learned in the millennia of the World. Part of life is the Night, bearer of the light of the stars and also of the eternal calm that allows us to thank our God for all the wonder we admire in the light of the Day. The Genious and the mad man in their sleeplesness tell us about the treasures which in the contrast of the Sun they find with watchful eye. The dark, they tell us, is to not wanting to open our eyes.

La vida en esencia, es misterio,
Adentrarse, es un proceso.
No todos pueden vestir de valientes,
nuestro inconsciente está ahí, presente.
Entre luz y oscuridad; entre la noche y el día,
La implacable cobardía, también ocupa un lugar.

Abordando con éxito la dificilísima figura del soneto, en sus 14 versos, y con una rima perfecta. Muy pocos sonetos he tenido la fortuna de leer por aquí. Sigue así.
