Desde hace muchos años existe en España una práctica con la que se apuesta y se gana mucho dinero, es la Tauromaquia o “corrida de toros”.

Nació en España y se fue expandiendo de manera que ocupó zonas de Portugal, Francia y en diversos países de Hispanoamérica.

Cada año hay más antitaurinos, los humanos compartimos cada vez más nuestra vida con mascotas domésticas y somos más conscientes de que los animales también tienen sentimientos, sensibilidades, emociones y también aman.
Ésto puede ser algunas de las razones por las que cada vez hay más antitaurinos.

Seguramente las personas más sensibles no puedan ir a ver una corrida de toros, he conocido muchas y han tenido que salir de la Plaza llorando de tristeza o con sentimiento de rabia por impotencia.

Los toros también son animales, también tienen sentimientos, existen toreros que han tenido que pausar su corrida por haber visto llorar de dolor al toro, o por ejemplo ver huir al toro del torero, intentando que no le hiciesen más daño.

Después de varios años de lucha porque no se realizara ésta práctica sólo por diversión, en la Comunidad Autónoma española de Las Islas Baleares, ya se ha conseguido la prohibición del toreo con sangre, con muerte. Se establecen el capote y la muleta como únicos utensilios a utilizar por los profesionales taurinos, vetándose expresamente el uso de "banderillas, rejones, puyas, estoques o espadas", entre otros.
A partir de ahora, en cada corrida podrán participar un total de tres toros y su intervención será de un máximo de diez minutos. Una vez transcurrido ese tiempo serán conducidos y retornados a los corrales.

Crean nuevas normativas donde no se permite la entrada a la plaza a jóvenes menores de 18 años, sólo se podrán torear toros con más de cuatro años y revisados por un veternario, ésto entre otras.

Todo ésto ha traído una larga cola de críticas, en España se hacen muchas manifestaciones a lo largo del año y se lucha contra el maltrato animal y el disfrute por ello diariamente.
