Coco: Pixar lo hizo de nuevo. - Pixar did it again.

Hace un par de meses varias películas protagonizaban la cartelera del mejor cine de mi ciudad. Cintas tales como Justice League, Thor: Ragnarok y, evidentemente, The Last Jedi se llevaban todas las luces. Sin embargo, había una de la que mucha gente hablaba y, a diferencia de las anteriormente mencionadas, era animada. Escuchaba como muchos decían que la historia de un niño mexicano los había conmovido; algunos contaban como lloraron, mientras que otros explicaban su reflexión tras ver la película. Mi curiosidad despertó e investigué al respecto, al entrar a Rotten Tomatoes, página web que hace críticas de cine, quedé sorprendido al ver un sólido 99% al lado del póster de 'Coco', días después dicha obra fue nominada a los Golden Globes, para luego encarar los Oscars. La última producción de Pixar arrasó con los premios, con la crítica y con el público; todos la amaban. Fue por eso que mis expectativas eran muy altas y, bueno, solo digamos que es una película que voy a recordar.
Some months ago, there were like five movies that recieved a lot of support in the best cinema in my city. Productions such as Justice League, Thor: Ragnarok and, as expected, The Last Jedi were spotlighted. However, there was a movie everyone were talking about, but it was not like the ones metioned before: this one was an animated movie. I heard a lot of people saying that the story of a mexican kid had impressed them; some said that they cried at the end of the movie and others explained their feelings and thought process after watching the movie. I was curious about it so I searched in Google about the movie that everyone were talking about, when I entered to Rotten Tomatoes I could not believe the outstanding score that it had: 99%. Some weeks after it won in the Golden Globes, and then it earned the Oscar. The most recent Pixar's production won it all: the prizes, the good reviews and the people that had watched it; everyone loved the movie. That's why my expectations were very high, and well, I will always remember 'Coco'.
Una mezcla cultural. - Cultural mixture.
Para los que no sepan, 'Coco' cuenta la historia de Miguel, un niño de México que sueña con ser músico, ya que esa es su pasión. No obstante, por generaciones su familia ha decidido apartar a la música y a todo lo relacionado con ella por un problema del pasado, al punto que basaron sus vidas en los zapatos. Ante esta situación, nuestro pequeño protagonista hará todo lo posible para cumplir su sueño a pesar de que su círculo familiar se opone a éste. Todo esto ocurre en el Día de Muertos, el cual es muy importante para la cultura mexicana, por lo que tenemos una interesante mezcla entre los sueños, la familia y la cultura, creando así un producto muy completo.
For the ones that don't know, 'Coco' tell us Miguel's story, a kid from Mexico that wants to be a musician, as that's his passion. However, his family have decided to set aside the music and everything that is related with it because of something that happened in the pass, that event affected them to the point that they decided to build their family around shoes. Our main character will do everything that is in his hand to achieve his goal, in spite of his relatives. This story is told in the Day of the Dead, which is very important in the mexican culture, so we have a interesting mix between dreams, the family and the culture, creating a very complete product.
Los extrañamos. – We miss them.
Uno de los puntos más interesantes es ver como una película 'de niños', o al menos digámosle animada, plantea un tema tan fuerte como es la pérdida de un ser querido. Todos alguna vez hemos pasado por la difícil situación de tener que soportar la muerte de alguien cercano, ya sea un amigo o un familiar, por lo que sabemos que no es fácil decirle adiós a esa persona a la que queremos y que ya no podrá volver a estar a nuestro lado, aunque si estará en nuestra memoria y, en algunos casos, en algún lugar de nuestra casa en un retrato. Me parece que implementar este tema en una película de este tipo es sumamente arriesgado, por lo que considero magistral el producto que terminaron creando, el cual tiene esto como argumento principal.
One of the most interesting things is watching how a movie 'for kids', or at least animated, exposes a very difficult topic: losing someone we love. Everyone has gone throught the horrible situation of enduring the lost of someone we know and care about, does not matter if it is a relative or a friend as the thing is that we know that is not easy saying goodbye to someone we love that won't be able to be alongside us never again, but he will be in our memory and, in some cases, in a portrait in our house. I think that using this topic in an animated movie is very risky so I consider a master piece the product that they created, which has this as its main plot.
Todo tiene una consecuencia. – Everything has a consequence.
'Coco' grita a los cinco vientos muchas cosas pero hay dos con las que hay que reflexionar. La primera de ellas son los sueños; estos quizás no sean fáciles de cumplir, pero es importante que nuestra voluntad para alcanzarlos sea gigante, al punto que nada ni nadie nos pueda detener. En la otra mano encontramos a la familia, ese grupo de personas que siempre está ahí, pase lo que pase. En el espejo de la ganadora del Oscar a Mejor Película Animada vemos reflejado el valor de los vínculos que creamos con nuestros familiares, los cuales son más sólidos que cualquier otro cosa en este mundo. Existe una correlación entre estos dos elementos en la película, ya que vemos a un niño que tiene que escoger entre lo que más desea y su familia, sabiendo que cualquier acción tiene una consecuencia y que su decisión cambiará su vida.
'Coco' screams out loud a lot of things to think about, but there are two in particular that I consider important. The first one are the dreams; these might not be easy to achieve, but it is key to train our will to seize them, that will make us unstoppable. In the other hand we encounter our family, that group of people that is always there, no matter what. In the story of the Oscar Winner to the Best Animated Feature we can see the value of the bonds that we have created with our relatives, which are stronger that anything in the world. These two topics appear in the movie and are correlated, as Miguel has to choose if he wants to follow his dream or his family, knowing that everything has a consequence and that his decision will change his live forever.
Nuestra familia, Nuestro sueño. - Our family, Our Dream.
Al terminar de ver Coco me quedé escuchando la música de los créditos mientras reflexionaba sobre el mensaje que acababa de recibir. Primero que nada, sin importar que nada tenemos que entender que nuestra familia va primero, pero no me refiero a que la póngamos por delante de nuestras propias necesidades, sino que sepamos que ese conjunto de personas nos ama y nosotros debemos hacer lo mismo, ya que a pesar de que a veces podamos estar en desacuerdo o discutir, ellos siempre estarán allí para apoyarnos. Por otro lado, nuestra convicción debe ser inmensa, y así tiene que ser en todos los factores de este proceso al que llamamos 'vida', porque sin una misión y una razón para vivir esto no tiene sentido. Acá esto nos lo transmiten de la mano de un niño que sueña ser un reconocido músico, y que nadará contra viento y marea para serlo.
When Coco finished I stayed listening to the music while I was thinking about the message that I had just received. First of all, no matter what, we have to understand that family goes first, but I don't mean putting them before us but knowing that those people love us and we have to do the same, because we might fight with them but at the end of the day they will be always there to cover our back. In addition, our conviction has to be huge, and it has to be like that in every moment of this thing that we call 'life', because without a reason to live this does not make sense. This message is sent by a kid that wants to be a musician, and will do everything to achieve his goal.
'Recuérdame.' - 'Remember Me.'
En mi humilde opinión, 'Coco' es una de las mejores películas animadas de la historia y no tiene nada que envidiarle a obras maestras de Pixar como la trilogía de Toy Story, Up, WALL•E o Finding Nemo. Lo anteriormente dicho se debe a que hicieron una buena película desde el punto de vista audiovisual —es decir, está bien animada y cuenta con música para darle vida a la historia— pero que cuenta con un argumento con un mensaje poderoso en todo sentido y que no esperaba ver en una película que supuestamente va dirigida a los más pequeños de la casa. Se ganó el derecho a levantar todos los premios, se ganó la buena crítica, se ganó las lágrimas de la gente, pero lo más importante es que siempre te recordaremos, Coco.
In my humble opinion, 'Coco' is one of the best animated pictures of all time and is on the same level as other Pixar's master pieces like the Toy Story trilogy, Up, WALL•E or Finding Nemo. The aforementioned is based on a good movie —I mean, it is perfectly animated and it has music to spice up the story even more— that has a plot with a powerful message, which I was not expecting in a 'for kids' movie. It claimed its right to earn all the prizes, it earned good reviews, it earned people's tears, but the most important thing is that we will always remember you, Coco.

Excelente, recuerdo cuando fui a ver Coco, fue con toda mi familia, fue una hermosa experiencia, y es una película que tocó cada una de mis fibras, porque me hizo acordar de los momentos que viví con mi mamá, ya ella se encuentra en el cielo, es una película sin duda alguna para toda la familia. Al principio escuchaba a todos hablar de ella y sobre sus experiencias y realmente no me llamaba la atención, un domingo estaba en un cumpleaños infantil y decidieron colocarla y me dije vamos a ver que tal la película animada. El siguiente paso que hice luego de verla fue venir a steemit y recomendarla, marco mi vida lleva un significado gigante en todos los niveles, eso si; al recomendarla pedí que la vieran siempre en familia para que notaran todos sus valores allí planteados en una obra magnifica. saludos y tremendo tu post broth.

Totalmente de acuerdo hermano, mi película animada favorita es ratatouille jamas me cansare de verla, pero creo que coco esta destronandola jejeje.
