Navidad fue alegre para todos excepto para mi amigo Abilio quien sufre diabetes, ya que no había quien le aplicara su dosis de insulina, él nos visitó para compartir nuestra alegría y cenar con nuestra familia ese día tan especial, pero observe que no era el aquel hombre alegre y jovial, algo le pasaba estaba apagado, decaído, pensé que quizá luego de una ardua jornada laboral cortando caña debería estar muy exhausto, pero después me entere la triste realidad, necesitaba su dosis de insulina y no había quien pudiera poner aquella vacuna.

-En una mesita colocar las jeringas, alcohol, insulina, algodón.
-Lavamos las manos con alcohol nuevamente.
-Mojamos en alcohol un pedazo de algodón y otro lo dejamos sin humedecer.
-Aspiramos la dosis de insulina con la jeringa.
-Medimos el lugar a aplicar en este caso me sugirieron hacer una cruz en el brazo del paciente, y en la parte central ubicar el punto de vacunación.
-Limpiar con alcohol el punto de vacunación.
-insertamos la jeringa en un ángulo de 45°, una vez insertado aspiramos levemente para ver que no hayamos tocado un vaso sanguíneo.
-Al estar limpia la aspiración insertamos la insulina despacio.
-Sacamos la jeringa despacio y ponemos en el punto de vacunación el algodón seco presionado levemente.
-Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

Hola @galberto, por lo que cuentas el cultivo de caña predomina en la región donde te encuentras. Quizás las personas toman mucho las bebidas derivadas de la caña y son muy dulces. Lo primero es dejar las bebidas dulces. La Moringua que se toma en infusión y el yacón que es una fruta esto lo consumen las personas con diabetes. También es importante bajar el consumo de harinas que se convierten en azúcar en nuestro cuerpo y alimentarse con más verduras y frutas en lo posible. Y que ni se le ocurra tomar bebidas alcohólicas. Tu muy valiente al aplicar la insulina, tal vez tu amigo tomé confianza y lo termine haciendo el mismo. Una placido descanso! Saludos.
Pues si ese es el cultivo que más tenemos por nuestras regiones la caña de azúcar se ha extendido por toda la región , y si mi amigo paso mucho tiempo en su juventud tomando un poco de bebidas alcohólicas.
En casa tengo dos arbolitos de moringa que están creciendo espero este año crezcan mucho más para tener una buena dote de hojas para poder compartir con mi amigo, lo tendré en mente muchas gracias por la recomendación, si no en casa de un pariente tiene otro arbolito para conseguirle las hojas para las infusiones.
He leído del yacón (Smallanthus sonchifolius), lamentablemente aquí en El Salvador no tenemos esa planta o al menos no la he visto, inicialmente creí que era yuca pero no lo es, pero que maravilla de planta, buscaré a mis amigos biólogos quizá alguno de ellos sepa donde identificarla por aquí, porque la verdad no la he visto y si me encantaría tenerla para ayudar a tanta gente que sufre este mal tan terrible.

La diabetes es un mal que cada vez acecha más a la humanidad. Que bien que tengas los árboles de Moringa, no sabía que era un árbol. Y me cuentas como te va con el yacón, acá lo vemos en los supermercados, supongo que se cultiva en zonas cálidas. Me cuentas como te va con la búsqueda. Feliz día!
Si todos estamos expuestos por eso hay que cuidarnos y muchísimo.
Si hay un par de arbolitos en casa pequeños pero ahí van, vieras es tan bueno que los zompopos y hormigas las adoran y si no los cuidas ellos llegan a sus cuevas las hojas del árbol y te dejan solo el puro palito pelón.
El otro día llegue y me decepcione al verlo así, y tuve que aplicarle un tratamiento para alejarlos si no, no va a crecer tanto el arbolito.
Gracias por lo del yacón, ya son dos plantas que ando buscando una es artichoques de jerusalem y ahora el yacon espero algún dia obtenerlos, y si también buscaré en el supermercado quizá yo no lo haya visto lo único que he visto ahí es malanga y ñame pero yacón aún no mil gracias por la sugerencia, quizá en algún momento que vaya por guatemala lo logre conseguir.

Mi esposo no estaba seguro de que darle una inyección al perro fuera lo mismo que darle una inyección, ¡pero pensó que era mejor que si lo hiciera él mismo!

Mas allá de la situación alimenticia tan precaria en el país, en todo el mundo se puede observar una practica alimenticia bastante errática sumando a ello la cantidad de químicos y conservantes que poseen los alimentos en la totalidad de los mercados. Tienes mucha razón respecto a la obtención de conocimientos básicos de cuidados y primeros auxilio, es muy desagradable ver como alguien presenta algun problema y no poder ayudarlo en nada, simplemente preguntar " oye como te sientes, te sientes mejor", puede hacernos sentir como unos inútiles incapaces de brindar una ayuda a nuestros seres queridos.
