Entre las nubes, la luna,
se abre paso suavemente,
le pide al viento que la ayude,
y a las nubes que no la escondan,
las montañas juegan con ella,
y en la playa las dunas la observan,
el mar coquetea con ella, oscilante.
Oh, luna blanca, luna hermosa,
luna de miel y plata,
te pido, que tu reflejo ilumine mis papiros,
provea a mi pluma de bríos,
que a mi mente apacigüe y aclare,
y que inspire, que vengan esas prosas,
esos versos míos,
al corazón de este poeta.

A ti, Luna.

Between the clouds, the moon,
makes its way smoothly,
she asks the wind to help her,
and to the clouds that do not hide it,
the mountains play with it,
and on the beach the dunes watch her,
the sea flirts with her, swaying.
Oh white moon, beautiful moon
honeymoon and silver,
I ask you, that your reflection illuminate my papyri,
provide my pen with vigor,
that calm and clarify my mind,

elle demande au vent de l'aider,
