Aunque la papa constituye uno de los elementos básicos de la alimentación del cubano, desde hace algunos años comprarla se ha convertido en un agónico proceso marcado por largas esperas, colas y mucha paciencia.
A propósito del tema, el guitarrista cubano Dagoberto Pedraja ha compartido en su perfil de Facebook un texto testimonial -con marcado acento literario- que ironiza a la par que describe un padecimiento insólito, pero devenido ya en habitual para los cubanos: la llegada de la papa.
