You are not advocating for freedom but for an illegal secession from Spain. Democracy would be that all Spaniards vote if all of them decide to break apart Spain. What you are proposing has been the source of many wars in history and you are irresponsibly taking all of you into the path of war where all Spaniards will lose being the region of Catalonia the one that most have to lose.
Yes I believe they should have the right and freedom to vote wether they want to be released from this tyranny...
Having the freedom to hold a referendum is not illegal, you're not fooling anyone..
All Spaniards could have a referendum to see if they want to break appart Spain and seced Catalonia, that is not illegal but what you are proposing is not that and is illegal.
Secession is not democracy because it is a small group of people imposing their will against the majority of the democratic country that is Spain.
It is not the Spanish government against its people. Most Spaniards are against secession, so the democratically elected government needs to follow the orders of the majority of the people that elected them, and that is that there is no option at all for the region of Catalonia to secede. The region of Catalonia will always be part of Spain, I just hope that the regional politicians of Catalonia don't provoke the Second Civil War like the provoked the first one.

Because secession is not freedom, democracy is, and democracy would be that all Spaniards decide whether a region of Spain secedes or not.
Let me get this straight: if your wife wants a divorce you also get to vote whether she can divorce or not?!

Actually I can - the people of Catalonia want to go their separate way...they don't need your permission, because Madrid doesn't own Catalonia, just as you don't own your wife!
Democracy is that all Spaniards decide whether they want a region of Spain to secede or not, anything else is not democracy but an illegal secession of a country against international law, the European Union Constitution and the Spanish Constitution. The world understands this and that is why all major countries have expressed the support to the Spanish government, from Merkel to Trump.
Catalonia has been always a region of Spain and it will always be part remember that I told you so when you die of old age and Catalonia continues to be a region of Spain ;)
Don't be childish, secession is not the same than divorce.
When you're on the same page with Merkel and Trump I think you have a very big problem, my friend. Next time you don't feel very happy with one of Mrs.Merkel's decisions that affects your life, I hope you will remember the high opinion you have of her... Like when the EU decides all children must be vaccinated...Juncker said that a few weeks ago...maybe then you will see a problem with what Mrs.Merkel dictates... maybe then you will get another perspective about what freedom actually means...

One thing is personal liberty and another one stealing from another people and that is what secession is, some spaniards stealing part of the land of Spain from the rest of Spaniards.
Please clarify your ideas about what personal freedom really is
