China to build an astronomy attraction

China has announced today, that they will be building ‘The Sky Eye’ in an eastern town called Xuyi. The project is set to turn the town, into the world’s best astronomy site that will educate and give tours.
The government has already begun to work with the International planetarium society and the British development company, Immersive Dome Experience.
The initial investment is two billion yuan (just over £230 million or $310 million). It’s predicted that the construction will start later this year and hopes to be completed by 2020. 8000 jobs will be created and profit is expected to be made, three years after opening.
