I wonder if one of us will get into space
The spacex story and trajectory is quite similar to STEEM.
It began with promise, fizzled out a little with a lot of exploded rockets and now can seem to do no wrong... except ruin Mark Zuckerberg's plans for facebook.
Here's to hoping STEEM can do a similar explosion ;)
This week saw spacex meet another milestone and quite a difficult one at that.
This was the second rocket being used for a second time.
This one was flown in January and was being reflown to launch a payload to a very high orbit, therefore it would have to land on the sea barge, since there is not enough fuel left to reverse the rocket back to land.
It was "extra toasty" in Elon Musk's words because of the higher orbit and therefore a more forceful re-entry. It was also a more complicated, three burn reentry, ending in the sea barge landing.
The earth is for humans, we are accustomed in this environment and living in other places in the universe just is not for us distance-wise.

I have been a pretty big fan of SpaceX since the beginning and personally I do believe in their plans. Competition is exactly what we need in the space-exploration market. I think that there may be some competition going on between SpaceX and NASA, and this very competition will inevitably get us into the furthest reaches of space.
Using STEEM as payment for a space trip would be quite exciting in it's own right lol

That's exactly right. I doubt we would actually see inter-planetary travel in our lifetimes since the travel time and distances are so very large, but if something like that were to happen, who wouldn't try it? It'd be pretty fun.

It's going to be exciting to see what happens with future developments. It's hard to imagine commercial flights into space.

Work behind spacex is incredibly difficult and that is in no comparison to steem or anything else.. not to downplay the importance of steem or facebook but spacex is in a leauge of itsown
I would not mind to support a Steemer who wants to go to space :) But probably many want to go:)

Seeing that STEEM is currently ranked 16th in Crypto currencies, I'd say we have a very good chance of going "into space".

Why not see how far we can go? That's what we do. Humans are adaptable. I'm a big fan of Elon Musk. He is pushing the boundaries. He may be right or wrong, likable or not, but he is out there shaking it up!
