Man what a crazy article.
We are about the quantity and the quality will be a battle between the 1% and how many of the quantity they can squash and exploit. I am fairly certain we won’t reach 11 billion without a catastrophic correction.
Damn I love life and people but that many of us arseholes is going to mean one smashed up planet.

I think you may be right. I remember the 2100 estimates around 20 years ago when they were working on Millenium Development Goals were closer to 15 ~ 20 billion on the high end. Now it's just 11.2 billion. Either forecasting is really good, they stopped doing the high calculations (for political reasons), or something sinister is planned. Being the UN they probably chose 11.2 for political reasons and stopped doing the higher calculations. But you are right. Something is bound to trigger disaster.
